Well I have some new carbon arrows and new BH I will be shooting this year...Im in the getting ready mode ...actually have 3 BH all in the 140 gr range...anyone else getting em ready??
I'm ready....
AD carbons with my Outback Broadheads.
And they fly great......
I got 6 Wensels mounted on 125 gr screw in adapters. 3 of them are rough sharpened with the file. I'm hoping to shoot them in the next couple of weeks. Bowhunting for deer starts the Friday before Labor Day here.

I think I have the jump on everyone. My season starts 8/1 and have been shooting only BH's for way over a month.
Bowmania
I am constantly shooting broadheads,I actually tune with them nowadays.. But its not long till I start putting edges on a few of them!!
Yep, been shooting a few different kinds, still trying to figure out which I'm going to use. Been shooting Zwickeys, Old Bear Razorheads, Grizzlys & I'm fixin' to try a copy of the old Pearson Deadhead called the Buck Dreaded Head.
I hope they fly good, they're considerably larger than any of the others I've been shooting. Just got them mounted up on tapered sitka spruce shafts this afternoon.
I shoot broadheads all the time with my field points. I'm not satisfied if my broadheads don't hit with my points. It's the only tuning I do.
i finally got my tuned. final set up turned out to be a easton xx75 2013 tipped with a muzzy 125. totaly weight about 407 grains. the flight wasn't too good on them though untill i paper tuned them yesterday. made a huge difference. now the fly like darts from 30 yards.
I will shoot some the last week or so before the season starts. My bows are tuned so broadheads shoot just like my feild points so it really is just a matter of changeing points.I see no reason for shooting up my targets with broadheads other than to shoot each arrow a time or two to make sure all are just right before sharpening them up.
Bowmania....
I got the Jump on you....
I'll hunting Deer 7-15-07
Are you ready Mike?
Marko, what are waiting for? I try not to stop tuning my broadheads ;) ...I tuned a Wensel Woodsman on an Angora goat in Texas in March, tuned a Pearson Deadhead from a recently departed loved one on a bear about 2 weeks ago in Canada, and hope to tune a Simmons Interceptor or STOS on a hog this coming weekend.
Seriously though, I've always got at least a doz broadheads of mixed manufacture sharp, test shot, tuned, etc. ready to go at any time. You never know when a good friend is gonna ask you to go hunting...be prepared I say!
mike g and Bowmania... I got the jump on the both of you. I can hunt year round this year! :D
I've had the new bow 2 weeks and the broadheads are grouping with the field points... time to go find one of those button bucks from last year's fawns (TASTY!)
Africa in 22 days....TUNED.
Jc, ur right just got invited on Pig Hunt this weekend...I got 4 snuffers on carbon woods ready out of my 60# longbow , they fly like darts!!! now where did I put that therma-sel

Roger, ur correct " Always Ready"and Always prepared...motto of the United States Cost Guard" :) ....They might of stole that from the Marines...but thats their motto....
I'm off to New Zealand in 20 days :bigsmyl:
Went pig hunting yesterday and will go tommorrow. Mine stay ready!
I always tune with broadheads and find that filed's and judos shoot perfect. It isn't always the other way around.
