Long time reader, first time poster. Ya'll have a good thing going here and I have enjoyed reading what ya'll got to say as well as following some of your projects. Been doing traditional now for about 5 years, but have yet to take anything but fish and small game with my longbows or recurves. Thanks to coon007 for getting me to this site, don't usually admit it :knothead: , but I am one of his hunting partners and enjoy taking his kid out everytime I get the chance. Hope to learn some new things from you guys and maybe this will be the year I draw blood with a stick and string.
Welcome to the :campfire:

Actually that is a little under average. She was about 120#, our average has been 175# with a best of 285#. Man those things are fun.
Thanks again for the welcome ya'll.
You don't swim with them fishies do ya?
Tim
Bowsey: that fish in the pic got tangled up in some underwater structure and after 10 minutes of yanking on the line I realized that there was no way to get her out. Told my buddy to hand me a rope, tied it to my waste and got into the water. I told him that if he felt a hard tug to start yanking cause the fish is probably trying to make me her dinner. After a few dive's, 8' down, I got her untangled and we were able to get another arrow into her. I have taken a few within a hundred yards of swimmers and have never heard of an attack on people by one of them unless they were caught in some way.
Nice fish, Alex. If the 'Gang had initiation rites, I'm certain gar wrasslin would suffice!
