I recently fixed up a child's longbow for my 4 year old nephew and wanted to share some pictures with everyone. The little fella is doing quite well as you will see. Lol, he's 4 and already hooked! :archer: I'm so bad! ;)
Here is his setup...

Snakeskin backed limbs...

I added a leather handle...

I couldn't resist adding a sealskin rest as well...

The string was hitting the little guy's arm now and then, so I had to improvise and custom-build him an arm guard...

I'll make another post to finish up (too many pics) lol
That looks like it will get him started. Good for you on getting him started while he is young.
This looks great, David. I bet he loved it..Don
Thanks! Yea, he likes it so much that I'm falling behind on my own practice!
What kinda snake?Looks like anaconda.
It's an old copperhead skin that I have had for ages. Turned out ok though.
Sure is fun getting the young'ns started out.
Wish I'd had an uncle like you!
Good job and the boy will remember you forever.
