I posted this as part of a post in an ATAR thread I was on when I got the call last night. In the light of day ;) I realized not as many would see it there.
........................
"Let me slip in a, "You Heard It First Here," here ... ("Drum roll please.") Granddaughter Onesty gave birth to my First Great Grandson (and third Great Grandchild) just a few minutes ago. All is well (as it has been with all three - even though she is considered "High Risk"), Thank you, Lord. He was a little over 5# Draw weight .... and she says she's finished shooting the course now. Later - y'all!"
"The young man's name is Davon Simeon .... (as in Bernard Simeon Dunn, thank you very much :D )."
..........................
This AM we will take a basinett full of "negassaries" over for the little family (we don't deal much in foo-fa-rah - well, perhaps a little rattle or two - )
Congrats Bernie. Glad to hear the family is doing well.

Bernie,
Grandchildren are a special blessing from God. I haven't had the privilege of experiencing great grandchildren, yet, but I know it will be special when I do! Congratulations for a special great grandchild for a special TradGanger!

What a wonderful blessing Bernie. I get to meet my first grandchild sometime in Feb., the Lord willing. You have been blessed mightily! You must have done a really good job as the head of your clan. He has entrusted you with one more.
Congratulations Bernie, give Onesty a big hug from me. If I was her I quit rigght there as well :bigsmyl:
Now then, are you gonna make the boy a bow or do you want me to continue the tradition?

Awesome man and congratulations on the new addition. I can tell you for sure who ever named them grandchildren sure hit it on the head. They certainly are "grand" for sure. I have 12 grandchildren no g-grand yet. Happy days to all.
One more generation assured for our sport. Congratulations all and "Good Job" to Mom. :jumper: :jumper: :jumper: Grant
Y'all are the best! OwlBait, you are right about the afghan -Rose had already made him a special round one - different than all the rest. We took it over there today. Dano, I'd be truely, deeply honored if you kept up the tradition you started with my Great Granddaughters! I would love to make him (and the girls) one someday, God willing, but I just took the very first shavings of my very first Osage stave yesterday - so I have a long ways to go yet - :D
Special thanks to all of the rest of you Great Grandfriends too.
congrats bernie
Congrats Bernie  :notworthy:
Congrats Bernie!!
Well that settles it Bernie you are blessed my Friend. God Bless you and yours.<><
WhooHoo!!
Congratulations Bernie! You are indeed a lucky man. Since my three grandchildren are 5 yrs., 3 yrs., and 11 days old, I hope it will be a little while before I become a Great Grandpa, but I truely look forward to the day.
I hope Onesty and Davon are both doing well.
Oh yeah, you still havent told us the AMO length.
Chuck
Congrat Bern! I say you need to be puttin them bow makin skills you learned a while back to use now.
Bless you all and your good wishes. All is going well. The first pics I got were not the best but they (and orthers) will appear soon on my Gallery Pages. Also Bill and Will Pearce are here (arrived yesterday) and we are getting things ready to leave for ATAR, Thursday.

Bernie, I sent you a PM
Ya know, Bern, if I could see auras, and believed in such, I'd tell ya that Davon's got a good'n.
Normally, babies and other globs of protoplasm send me screaming in terror to the furthest outpost I can muster to. I would still attempt to beat a healthy retreat from Davon. But, when you look at him, he's got a good face. By gum, I like him!
Now, this is aided and abetted by the distance, lack of squalling and the freedom from the horrors of leakages unexpectedly deposited on shoulders, hair, hands and sundry objects of clothing, thanks to the cleansing effect of cybertravel. But, either that kid has a good heart, or he's gonna make a hell of a confidence man. He's your kin, so I will give him the benefit of about fifty dollars worth of doubt.
Killdeer
There goes Killies maternal time clock of death again
He's a cutie for sure, but I hope he's tough, those sisters are gonna prolly make him wear girlie stuff.
LOL - Killie and Dano, I suspect you two are twins from different mothers and fathers - but you're both right He does have a good face and he is cute (a lot like his GGF :biglaugh:
I don't believe his mother, or his Grandmother (my daughter), will let the girls make the first boy in either family wear girlie stuff. Right from the git-go Onesty said, "I don't mind hand-me-downs, but no pink stuff!" :)
Sounds like you have a "300 Round" going!
Dano sounds like he needs changing again...
:saywhat: :biglaugh:
Congrats Bernie! A great grand son... that's got to be a great feeling. I started late, so unless my boys start real early, or I live as long as YODA :scared: , I don't think I'll see that mile stone.
Congratulations!!
