Well these are the ones that did a good job skinn' bears :scared: I re-forged and re-tempered the ones that that didn't quite cut it...pun intended ;)
Now I just need another hunt with a captive audience to try again :campfire: Doc

Love the 2nd and 3rd from top, awsome
Rusty
The 3rd from the top goes to Big Bob Walker for tagging the Biggest Barr and winning the camp pot :clapper: Doc
Those are very sharp looking blades Doc.<><
OH..Doc.. :notworthy: :notworthy:
They sure are Beautiful knives Jeff!! Always captivating the audience and we're definately anticipating the next show
I'm surprised he even posted a pic of the top knife...that was the sleeper of the bunch. He made it a point to say several times, while looking over the top of his glasses, "This knife isn't going anywhere..." :saywhat:
Looking great Doc, I'll be yer R&D staff anytime, anywhere :bigsmyl:
Very sweet!!!! The bottom one is my favorite!!!!
Jake
Great looking blades Doc.
Those are some great looking blades. Keep up the good work Doc.
JC, That top one already has a new para cord handle, shaving sharp, and in it's sheath right next to my computer. I'm hoping the 2nd one down skins as well as yours. The blade tip is almost I dentical to my tracing of your skinner. Doc
Doc, #5 (from the top) gets my vote!!!!!
Maybe with some "Bunny Hunt" bone scales ;)
October Whitetails Doc.
I think the bottom and third one up from the bottom are fantastic... but then again we don't get to skin a lot of bear here on the farm in MD... LOL...
But they look like they would do a sweet job on our whitetails (If I ever set up on the same danged trail they are using the same day :banghead: Too many trails to the corn field )
Doc you are welcome to NE Ohio any time. I'm sure we could hunt some time to kill.
Whitetail opens the first week of Oct!!
:bigsmyl:
As always Doc, great looking blades; 5th from the top gets my vote for number 1.
You do good work Doc
Ya, the 5th from the top get's my vote too. Nice looking blades, wouldn't they look good with a horne and brass handle??
oooh oooh oooh I like the 4th one from the top :bigsmyl:
I'll trade you Bernie for the second one. :bigsmyl:
I luv'um all bud!
I've skinned my share of bears and like the idea of the rope grips. That sure would help with the slippery'ness.
I'll be more than happy to one thru it's paces in my taxidermy shop and in the field :D :goldtooth: :biglaugh:
Did I say 4th from the top? I meant 5th from the top..oh hell... either one :bigsmyl:
Hi Doc!!!!! Tyler here!!!!! Remember me from the White Mountain Rendezvous?????
I like Number 5 alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sincerly, Tyler :archer:
2,3 and 4 get my vote, love that type of a blade..
Killie, Do I have to take Bernie with his skirt
Guru, The para cord sure does give a Great Grip...but difficult to clean up. I used boiling water each night. At end of camp just cut cord off. It only takes about 10 minutes to re-wrap one. I'll keep that top one in para cord. Believe it or not that top one turned out to do everything well.
Tyler, Hope to see you again this August...bring your Dad too ;)
Joker, They will all be handled out with sheep horn, whitetail antler, and exotic woods. They earned their keep.
Thanks for the nice comments. Remember, come on up to the 2nd Annual All Traditional Quebec Bear Quest to try to some new designs for next year. Looks like there will be 2 groups, just email Tom to get on a list. Plus there will always be a knife in the pot for the biggest bear...Doc
QuoteBelieve it or not that top one turned out to do everything well.
I believe it... ;)
Any chance for a pictorial how-to on the para cord wrap?
Doc, Nice...real nice. They are all beautiful, and we can't even see your great file work in that pic.
Steve O, . Once things calm down, I could do that. They are very simple as long as you do a couple easy tricks...Doc
I'd like to see how you do the para cord wrap. Any pictures? Chad
whoops missed your post above. thanks, Chad
Doc, it sure beats takin' him without one! I should get TWO knives for you making me visualuze THAT!! :scared:
Killdeer :knothead:
