I took my Significant Other out for her first try at archery. She was shooting a Ben Pearson all-american recurve, 30# @28". I gave some instruction and we set the target at point-blank range and worked on her form. After we got that down, we moved the target out a bit for some serious shooting.
She did very well, had good form, and was hitting pie-plate sized groups from the outset. No stray shots on the left or right. Her windage was dead on. Most of her shooting was getting used to using the proper elevation depending on the yardage.
She continued to refine her form and her shooting really "dialed in". I've no doubts that she is going to be a good shot with a bow.
