Got my new 50" longbow from Peckerwood in the mail today and thought I'd share some pics with you. She is 50" long 51@28 made of osage and black walnut. shoot as well as any longer bow I have owned with no pinch or stack at my 28" draw. I got it this morning strung it up and shot a couple rounds before I went to bed (3rd shift) and of the five rounds I shot from 15 yards.....I could pull every set of arrows with one hand all at one time. this is one shootin little bow. Here are a few pics for ya.

cool bow dude!!!!!!!
Sharp little hybrid right there!
very nice, great wood combo, good luck with her!
The more I shoot this thing the more impressed I am with it. It's really stable for being so short.
sweet lookin bow leroy!love that grip
Hey Leroy, When you run out of room to store your bows don't forget that I can help you out. :readit: LOL
Thats a nice lookin Longbow right there. I like that grip.
It's real comfy too boys! ron I may have to take you up on that. I'm getting quite the collection going here. LOL!
sweet!!!!!!!! :bigsmyl:
Sweet looking bow...50" wow, that is really cool.
It has to be a good bow if'n its got osage in it!
Peckerwood must be fine bowyer!
Leroy,
I got a 58" Takedown on its way to me. Peckerwood sure can build an awesome bow. The 50" is next on my list of bows to have.
Jake
That thing does look good!!
Trust me fellas the pics don't do tis little wonder justice. The osage has some nice grainin it that the pics don't show well.
Peckerwood makes some fine bows (I've seen a few of his) and is a heck of a nice guy, to boot. Fun to shoot with too.
Peckerwood! thats what i call my city boy buddy and he doesnt build bows humm, sure is purtty long bow leroy.
I'll let you shoot it soon Mike!
cool
Really reminds me of shooting a Golden Hawk Mag.
nice looking bow
real nice bow leroy now dont forget my rer longbow LOL!!!
Wow, that is an impressive looking bow....Congrats!!!
YB
Really nice looking bow. I sure like a short bow for small game hunting. I would love to see a pic of you at your full 28" draw. I am having a hard time with the "no finger pinch" Maybe you just have strong enough hands to handle the string angle and you have a very good release. None the less that string angle has got to be pretty steep. How about a full draw pic
rusty
i'll try to get one taken in the next couple days.
First I've seen of his bows - a 50" longbow? I do like the walnut accents in the osage riser - nice looking.
Its a beaut.
He is one fine craftsman, and a treat to shoot with. Last year he brought a real "drooler" bow into the camp at Baltimore. I was gonna show pics, but my external hard drive...the one with all my pics from the last couple of years :scared: is on the fritz. Dimmat.
If you are lucky enough to get a bow from Bill, you have something to be proud of! He has seen me shoot, so he never offers to sell me anything. Appearances, you know.
Killdeer :wavey:
I don't think I'v heard him (or "of" him) offering to sell a bow of his. Doesn't mean he doesn't - just at the three or so shoots I've seen him at, and shot with him, and admired his bows at - I haven't heard him talk about it, come to think of it  .
I was wondering why my hat was a little tight this am. Thanks for the compliments .
Kathy you shoot just fine . I just figured you already had enough bows. ( if there is such a thing)

I'm guessin that you picked evey spot that has an arrow in it Killy.
Ahhh, she just left her "group tightener" home that day - ya can't remember everything, all the time - :archer:
where can I get one of them group tighteners Bernie?
Well this isn't quite to full draw but here is a draw pic.

Tried about 20 times and my daughter kept missing me at full draw. I even held it for quite a bit waiting on her.
They are a Marine Corps "Issue", and Killie was a "Navy Brat" so she had access ;) . I'll loan you mine a while, Leroy - it appears I haven't been using it as much as I should have lately anyway - :D :knothead:
I'll Take it Bernie! What ya need in trade? LOL!!
Hmmmm - lets see now, if I was to pull a gen-u-wine 51# @ 28" "Peckerwood Bow" between 26 - 27 inches only, it should come out close to 45# or less, huh? I'd rather it was 40-45# @ 28" (giving me a little more leeway for those "bad days") but that 51# @ 28" might just be do-able ........... :goldtooth: ;)
sorry Bernie! you Ain't gettin my bow. Guess I'll keep the spread pattern. LOL!! Not much of a spread when you can pull three arrows at one time with one hand! LMAO!
LOL - That's what I was thinking - but who am I to question your (unresonable) desires for improvement ;)
(Actually it was all just a big scam to make sure you really wanted that purty bow - Bill told me to do that.)
Peckerwood, You are an Artist that Creates a Very Functional Piece of Artwork!! That IS Awsome!! :archer:
I'll be keepin this one Bernie. Short and sweet just the way I like em! Thanks Again Bill!!
Why does that not surprise me? :)
