Title: Opinions on current production Super Kodiaks
Post by: sgrogg on July 02, 2007, 04:57:00 PM
Yes, the bow bug is biting again!  I'm down to one bow (a Dalaa) for the first time in years and I'm having withdrawals.

Thinking about trying a Super K, maybe a new one, maybe a vintage one....haven't decided yet.  Anyway, I know the vintage (late 60's early 70's) ones are supposed to be nice but what I'm interested in hearing is your opinions of the current production Super Kodiaks.  Thanks!

I bought one last year from 3rivers.  I love it.  Fits me better and I shoot it better than any other bow I have had.  I put a b50 string on it and it is quieter than a custom longbow I had.  Bear bows may not be a good as they used to be (?) but it sure is nice to pick up the phone and have one at your house in less than a week.  If you order one from 3rivers and you don't like it you can return it within 30 days and get your money back!  A couple of fat ole does last year really didn't like it!!!!

I might as chime in..... shot my first turkey and deer with one of the more recent production superkodiaks.... I love that bow. In all of my buying and selling it's the one I want to hold onto to pass down to one of my children. =)  I have shot nicer and better, but this one's a keeper.

I have had both old and new ones.   To me, the newer ones shoot as good as the older ones, maybe better.  Maybe not as good looking but still a good bow.  I always liked the grip and long sight window on the SK.
