just now I went out to shoot my old longbow, I drew back not more than 5 inches and heard a very loud crackow!!!!!!!!, I threw the bow on the ground where it is now, I know it came from the bow becuase I could feel the pop in the lower limb, but, it is still strung!!!!!!!, should I pick it up and see what happened?
go out there and inspect everything. dont pick it up until it looks intact.
if it looks intact, should I try to unstring it, or leave like that?
the break point looks only a few wood fibers away from cracking, but I dont hear anything?, it just sits there strung?, should I give it some more time to break on its own?
Throw it on the fire.lol
Time for a new bow from the sounds of things. Better hit the classifieds.
Don a pair of leather gloves, a welding helmet and a cup before you unstring it just in case.
I'm with madness,, after all its just wood..LOL..
You gotta protect the important parts...hands, eyes and giggleberries.
