Has anybody used these gloves and are they any good? And are they worth the money?I'm needing a new glove I've recently went back to a glove, just feels more comfortable and I can feel my anchor point alot better. The thin buck skin type glove I've used off and on for years still has alot of life in it but it to thin and does'nt pad my finger tips good enough.Looking for something with more padding on the tips.Any input will be appreciated.tradrick
IMO, they are the BEST shooting glove EVER.
They last forever and deliver about as a clean a release as a tab can.

They are great gloves, well-made, give a good release, but if you are used to a thin glove (like Damascus) and being able to feel your anchor with your fingertips, you might not like it. I had to stay with the Damascus, as I just could not get used to the thicker glove.
diamond paul, is that the glove you are sending me?
Mine is the regular big shot, which is elk, I believe. The buffalo is more expensive. Yes, that's the one, Ian! I sure wish I could get used to it, as they are very nice gloves and really protect the fingertips, but I just have to be able to feel my anchor with fingertips. I guess I'll be going through about 12 gloves a year for the rest of my life! LOL.
I went through several different gloves before trying out the Big Shot. I really like it even though it is a bit bulky. I feel that it made my release a bit smoother because the fingers don't get that crease worn into them from the string. I'll certainly buy another when I eventually wear this one out.
Love mine, love mine, love mine. The most comfy glove I have used. My only gripe (besides the aformentioned lack of anchor point fell-ability)is this... the wrist strap is funky. I have thick wrists and it is still too large. Had to modify mine some, but a longer strip of velcro from the factory would have allowed me to trim-to-fit.
Best glove I have ever used!!!
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Nylon on the fingers make it where you barely feel the strings....
Thanks for everyones input.I think I might just have to give one a try.As far as feeling my anchor I guess really all I do is touch my cheek bone with the tip of my index finger and the rest of my hand just kinda lays across my ear.Its the best position I have found so far to get good back tension.Feeling the tip of the glove on my cheek bone should'nt be a problem and I would like something thicker on the fingertips. Thanks again guys.tradrick
Since I last posted I had a problem with the strap breaking on me, but I fixed that by having a nylon webbing strap sewn into the leather as a one piece wrap around.
I don't plan on ever using anything else.
Primo glove, made and sold by quality people. Excellent and long wearing.
I love mine! Very short break in time for me...and Im getting a more consistant release with it than anything I have used. I had my doubts at first on the nylon tips....but it is no problem. Very, very nice glove.
I love mine! I used a thin type glove that hurt my fingers before too, no regrets! Great glove!
I got 1 a few weeks ago. Best glove I've ever owned.
I use a little talc on the tips, just like it that way.
4 years and thousands of shots later mine still has plenty of life left. Better than any other glove I've used and prefer it over tabs. You will not regret buying one.
I just traded up to one after getting many years of service out of their old Hill style glove. Excellent products worth the extra money. The only minor complaint is that it's a little hot for my south Texas climate.
Best glove there is and they wear like iron. Great customer service too if you need to contact the owner.
Best glove ever made! I have had mine for a few months now and absolutely love it!
Going on 3 years with mine. Durable to say the least. I have tried many gloves and tabs and the big shot elk is by far the best one I've ever used

I have used the Big shot since I started Trad. American Leathers really makes a great product. The wear great as well
I have a as new Buffalo Big Shot in Large. Bought this from another Tradgang member and found it to be to small for my big mitt. PM me if interested.

There's a great interview with John Turner of American Leathers in the new (Dec/Jan) issue of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine.
I've used a Super Archery Mitt for the past 10 years. But I've been seriously thinking of trying one of these gloves myself.
I have both the Big Shot Elk and buffalo. My elk glove did strech a bit but the buffalo has not in 4 years. I do like the elk glove's color as it is a bit darker. I bought mine when the Schultzs had the company.
Love mine. Best glove I have ever used.
