Title: Bobcat hunting with dogs in Texas

I was wondering if anyone has ever done it before with trad bows and where did you go.Im going to Utah this winter for cougar but Id really like to get one of those beautiful little spotted devils from Texas.Any info appreciated. THX

I've sure thought about it myself. If I didn't already have so many irons in the fire I'd give it a go. We definitely have a huge population of bobcats and the big variety as well. I've got the cats, who's got the cat dogs? CK

A lot of them will bail out and there they go...Our dogs used to tree a few at night when I was coon hunting and when we approached the tree the cat would jump, most of the time.

I have never had any luck treeing bob's, usually trap them or hunt them from treestand. With the right bait and call you can get them in pretty close.
