Title: Simmons has a new bleeder system?
Post by: beachbowhunter on January 12, 2007, 09:37:00 AM
I just saw on the 3Rivers site that there is a new locking bleeder blade system on the Simmons heads. The bleeder in the picture looks more like the Stinger bleeder. I checked the Simmons website but there is nothing on it about the new bleeders. I know the old ones have been a source of consternation over the years because you had to superglue them in and they are pretty big as bleeders go.  Thought I'd ask here about them before I call Simmons. Has anybody seen or tried them? Hope they work on the old heads but, alas, they probably wont.

If you are talking about the Razorshark I am afraid that you will find changing, removing and sharpening the bleeders to be a real chore. You need a special screw driver to remove them and they are so small that sharpening them, even if they were easy to remove, would also troublesome.

This is a 100 grain RS and you can see the small scale that it is. It is a very difficult 4 blade head to work with...IMO.
