Title: A shot in the dark
Post by: oldgriz on June 19, 2007, 05:45:00 PM
Does anyone make a set of limbs that fit the old Bear Mag TD bows...
I know I can get new ones from Bear, but I was wondering if anyone out there made a good after market set

Tom... call Dave Windauer at Shafer Silvertips. Paul used to make limbs for any takedown and a buddy got two sets for his Mag handle bear.
Dave may still be able to do that for you.

I shot a set of static tip limbs by RRR archery last month at the Tenn. Classic and they felt and shot pretty good. If I recall correctly, they were #2 length. Years ago I talked to Paul Shafer abot as et but all he built were # 3 length limbs. That was about 1980 and I don't know about Windeauer. I've also spoken to Sid at Border and he said he could probably accomodate a special order on a set around November when things slowed down. That is probably the way I'll go even though I don't really need any more limbs.  Grant
