I just joined this forum about a week ago and have already been insulted by one of the Admins....
Yup.. what a way to treat a new member...
I was looking over some of the thread and saw the name Rob DiStefano listed as an Admin...
Now that name seemed familiar to me and he lives in NJ and I used to live in Rockland CO NY, on the NJ border... but I seemed to remember the name from longer ago than that...
So being the nice guy I am, I email Rob and give him my background thinking we might have known each other at some time....
Well you can imagine my dismay when I got an email back and the first sentance was
"You must be getting senile."[/i]
Now I realize that I am not as young as I used to be and my mental acuity is not what is once was... BUT SENILE... give me a break.... this guy is my age and I AM SENILE... LOL
Well it turns out that Rob and I shot all the same clubs and tournaments together back in the dark ages... Comanche, Iroquois, Suffolk, Staten Island, the Jersey Oradell and Lincoln Park clubs, Watkins Glen Champs.
He even remembered some of the "tricks" we would play on each other while on the line.
What a thrill to find an old buddy here on the forum... just makes it more like going home again...
Glad to be back in touch Rob....
