I have Fred Asbell's first book on Instinctive Shooting... is the second book a necessity or does it just expand a bit on the first book...
I found the first book to be real helpful...
Time to start all over again after 5 yrs...
i would get the second book. It expands some on the first and has some new stuff.
I agree with rbbhunt. I have both plus Stalking and Still Hunting.
I have his video. I bought it at the BW clinic this year. Its very good also.
I agree, get the 2nd book also.
I think all of Fred's writing is valuable. The second book expands on the first. I have all 3 books on my nightstand, I re-read them often.
Heck, just the hunting stories in the back are worth the price of the books.
I agree, all of his books are good! Frank
Yes get the second !
I own three of Fred's books. All good reads.

I have read both books, the video and taken the Bowhunting Clinic at Black Widow (aka G Fred bootcamp). His hunting advice is great, his form and squatting forward facing combat handgun style of shooting is for the birds in my opinion.
I have had them both and passed them on to my son after reading, and re-reading them. It takes concentration, but when I put his words into practice I found that almost any bow became a fine shooting bow after just a few shots.
If you're a longbow shooter, would probably want to get the second book. Pretty much limits his discussion to high wrist grips and recurves in the first book.
does 3Rivers stock it? or where else can i get the second one????? i liked the first a lot myself...shooting RH with left eye dominant just doesn't matter any more....i drove myself nuts trying to gap shoot....Kirk
