My wife has heard my interest in afixing feathers to arrow shafts and that wonderful woman and my kids went and wrapped me up a right fine Bitzenberger Jig for Father's Day. Pressure's on now: She told me she expects me to fill the freezer with venison this fall now.
Now I need feathers, fletch tape and more shafts. This sport keeps getting better and better!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You will be able to pass that Fletcher down through the Kids someday!!
go out and get some turkeys. plenty of feathers on them suckers. LOL!!! :archer:
That pressure would be tough for me.
I'm a lot better at fletching than I am at putting venison on the table. :banghead:
AMEN TO THAT BROTHER!!! If I had to Survive on what I Kill, Foam Steaks,Tree Stumps would be my Diet!
I am getting pretty Good at Stalking Roasts at Kroger, and I Dont Think The Herd is in Danger from THAT Critter!! :archer:
I have been using the same Bitzenburger since about 1967 and it is still going strong...
Now my 9yr old daughter is going to start using it to make her first set of arrows this summer...
It is definitely going to be past on...
You got a good wife and kids there...
Oldgriz,
Yes, I do.
Yo Chris ya should teach a course on how to get the wife to buy her man huntng equipment and then tell him to go huting and don't come back till the freezer is filled?...Ya doing something right... :notworthy:
P.S. Bitz's are ups..
I bought my first Bitz in the late 70's and it's still fletching arrows just as well as when new. I prefer Duco over the tape, tho. :bigsmyl:
Been using my Bitzenburger since 1968.
