I applied again this year and hope to actually draw and save paying for a landowner tag. I cannot remember; when will the results be on the website? I tried to check the KDWP site and couldn't find the info.
Thanks,
Sanderlin III
Results will be on their website after July 1st.
I did the same thing.
Mike
I too am waiting for the results...
Not waiting for any results, I was just there this past weekend for a family reunion, and I have a landowner tag with my name on it all I have to do is find the time to go!
Tater
I checked the website and still can't find any draw results. Anyone that can point me in the right direction?
John III
I also looked today. I couldn't find anything yet. That doesn't surprize me. They have to be one of the most user unfriendly wildlife departments in the US. I hear there will be some changes in 2008. We can only hope so.
Nothing here yet either...just got "no data available" kinda glad it's not just me that's a bit confused.....
I called today and they said that the info will be on their web site the end of this week.
Mike
Thanks Mike...
It's up now...I did NOT draw :-(
You are correct Biggie. I just checked the site and crazy as it seems with only 3 preference points (lol); I drew a tag this year.. It is on in December.
Sanderlin III
No deer here in Kansas. They all migrated to Oklahoma. Just kidding!!!
https://www1.wildlifelicense.com/ks/start.php
I've got my tag for 2007 in Unit A1. Biggie I wish I would have used your shortcut. It took me about 20 minutes to navigate to the draw results page. I guess I will be spending a few weeks in Stockton, KS this coming November.
I still get "No data found".....does that mean there's a problem?
I sure hope not............
Curt,Have you tried Biggie's short cut??
:banghead:
Tracy
I've been trying for a couple days before Biggie posted that.....I type in my name and DOB,then search....
It's still coming up "no data found",I wonder if that means they never got my application?
That won't be cool at all..... :help:
Curt,
Keep trying. The same "no data found" message kept coming up for me. Being a "III" I thought they didn't input my name correctly so I tried a few different spellings. It did finally come up with my correct spelling after about 5 tries.
John III
Mine came up that way until I used the other option and entered my KDWP number....
Hey Big Buddy, Where do I find that #?
Guru, your KDWP # is above your name on the mailer if they sent you a application by mail or have hade one of their license before. I didn't draw so If I go it will be through a land owner tag.
Mike
I downloaded an app.,so I guess I don't have a #...still up in the air....
I get a tag, oh wait I'm from Kansas sorry had too.
Dang Curt, Are you going to drag this one out like a story or are just giving the kansas deer herd time to run for the hills.
Tried to see how Pete did but havn't heard back yet.
Tracy
i been to west Kansas a few times....i didn't know anything but birds live out in that kida country....is there really deer out there?
You would be suprised Kirk,There are more deer out there than you think.
I have seen some places in Oregon that you wouldn't think deer were there either let alone elk too.
Tracy
Just kidding bro.....it's amazing how those critters adapt....that's a nice one on your avitar there...is that a Kansas deer?
Thanks,Yeah Kansas bow kill.He is a dandy the picture dosn't do him justice.I live on the east side were there is no shortage of deer and some good ones too.
Tracy
Sorry Tracy...I should know more today.
Boys Tracy's right, the pix don't do that deer justice. He described it to me on our hunt last year and it's got incredible mass and if I remember right scores in the 180's!!!!!
Just given ya a hard time bud,Got my fingers crossed. ;)
I saw another buck pretty close to him last year.He came in behind me and stopped at 18 yards but I couldn't get the shot.Maybe you or Pete will get a shot at him come this November. If not there are plenty of others to hunt.
Tracy
Western Kansas has a big buck hiding behind every tree out there... ;)
Course,there ain't a whole lotta trees out there... :)
And you are right, that picture of Tracy's buck doesn't do it justice but then I have seen the rack in person.
Good luck on your draws Gents.
Well, I didn't draw again this year. Sure is a bummer. The only bright side of this is I still get to go in the fall and bowhunt Turkeys and WATCH the deer walk around. ARGH!
Hope some of you draw. And yes, I tried my name/BD, KDWP/BD and my other two partners that put in together.
Mike
Well Tracy, I'd have called but I have your #on my cell and I can't find it for a few days now......
Bad news...I called and I didn't draw :( :banghead:
I guess it just wasn't my year to draw tags......Sorry bud,I was really looking forward to it.....
Man that sucks,It still sounds wierd to me that they had your'e name spelled wrong.I tried for two hours to get a hold of somebody but it said network difficulties every time. :knothead:
Maybe there is a chance for a left over tag or something,I will call on Monday again and again until I get somebody. Hang in there bud.
Tracy
Curt, there will be some landowner tags on **** soon. they are transferable. I usually pick one up there when I don't draw.
I guess it's illegal to say eeeeee bay
Hey boys! I just returned from scouting a new ranch in Oregon. Lots of elk, deer and apparently they have a "big" lion problem...Hmmm...Rosey and I may be heading to Oregon with some hounds! Oh yeah guess what? I drew my Kansas tag!!!!! Curt, lets try and get ya a landowner tag. Tracy I will call ya this weekend. Look out Kansas here I come!
:goldtooth: All right Pete,Thats one down and one to go.I will be waiting for the call buddy.
Oregon has had cat problem for years,Ever since they stopped letting hunters use dogs to thin them down they have done nothing but get worse.I hope you and Rosey can help them out.
Tracy
Congrats bud!!
Hmmmmm.....Isn't Oregon "over-the-counter"?
You have to buy the tags before the opening day but yes over the counter.
Tracy :campfire:
Still hoping for KS somehow....it'll kill me not to be with you guys twice!
We will figure something out Curt,I am stubborn that way :banghead:
Besides it wouldn't be the same with out ya.The three amigos will figure something out.
Tracy
The Oregon ranch was sweet. Lots of elk and mule deer. I didn't see any big bulls but the ranch mgr tells me that there are a few shooters every year! The deer were plentiful and I'm told that some nice bucks hit the alfalfa in late August. Did I mention the ranch is very private and the owner allows no hunting...period! But for me and my lil' ol' longbow she will make an allowance...
Curt we'll figure out a way to get you a KS tag. I will need ya to help drag out my big ol KS monster buck! Plus it won't be as much fun teasing ol' Momma P by myself!!
Wouldn't you know it,Some gal owns a bunch of land in Oregon with premo hunting and dosn't allow hunting period and ol Pete gods gift to woman Iacavazzi comes along and flashes that million dollar smile :goldtooth: and she says sure hunt all ya want.It figures :)
Looking forward to hearing about it Pete.We will have a great hunt here in Kansas,Guess I need to get some trail cameras out and start some scouting.
Tracy
You guys are killin' me :(
Yep....as sson as I saw the word "she" I knew Peter was in....no pun intended.
I wanna be just like him when I grow up
Hmmm...Did I also mention she was very, very beautiful? Biggie, I'll send ya some Sitka Info later this week. Hey, when can I come to Georgia and see all those beautiful "Southern Belles" I hear so much about...oh yeah and maybe even shoot a hog or two.
Stay cool, Peter
Peter, I drew in Kansas this year and I have an appointment with a Booner that wouldn't die last year.(No comments from you Biggie). If you want to kill hogs, you need to come to the lease that Biggie and I have in Florida. Best time is when it cools down up your way! Marty McMahon PS you can bring the lady rancher if ya want.
Marty,
Sweet! Where is this "un-killable" Booner? I will glaldy help ya out. Me, you and One sweet Biggie after hogs? Hmmm...I'm in! Let me know a good time and I'll be on the next plane out. Who does the cooking? I think I'll leave my sexy ranch babe home. One look at Biggie and she'll probably fall for the big cuddly bear!
Peter
Barry put me on that Booner last year, but he blindfolded me at the Kansas City Airport. I have no idea where I was!Just put my Marine son on a plane back to California, he was home on leave. He's off to the far desert in November. Be hard to concentrate for 8 moths after that.Best time to come to Fl is Jan-March. No bugs and cooler weather for us. You'll love it. As far as cooking-I do it and look at Biggie-No complaints!
UPDATE On the KS draw.
I did draw a tag for A4 and so did the other two Okies (Raincrow, JohnBow) that hunt with me. Must have been a glich on the KS web site. The info came up today.
The three Okies from Norman, OK are going to KS and hunt with KSBow. We have been waiting for some to to return for a whitetail hunt. :D
Might just have to make a new selfbow for this hunt. I made one for a hunt a few years back and scored with it.
Can't wait. Will have to make a few trips up there to get the lay of the land. HA. Same place we hunt turkeys each fall and spring. I'm pumped. :archer:

This buck came off the same ground I hunted last November in Kansas. I lucked out and drew a 2007 tag and am going back this year. Awesome bucks in Kansas. I saw more big deer in a week than the past five years at home.
Sanderlin III
Awsome buck John I love big nontypicals. Good luck to you this year :)
Tracy
Tracy,
Sorry I missed your call. I was playing with Tanner! I will be around all week. Call me when you have a moment.
Marty,
My best to your boy! Lets plan for a winter "Hog Fest".
Luv ya boys, Peter
