I've seen some footed shafts one time that looked as if they were in the shape of flames. Really neat looking and I have no idea of how it was done.
Anyway, I would like to see some "fancy foot work" and how it was done.
Thanks, Robert
They are footed the normal way and then soaked twisted and dried :) ...Van
Seriously? That sounds interesting. Got any pictures?
Although I don't think that is what I saw, these looked like real flames. I don't really remember too much about them. I think they were made by Rusty's footed shafts?

Yep, nope :) ...Van
I've never seen "flame" footed arrows, but would buy some in a minute if I did, these are as close as I have found....

Those are the type I'm talking about. Footed in the normal way and then twisted....Van
Well those look pretty neat.
Are those "Home Made" or does someone sell them?
How do they keep the shafts straight? It seems like they would be crooked afterwards.
Thanks! Robert
Very Nice "RUSH" Ref. in Your Sig. Gotta Love 'Em!!
Hood, They are from Rusty's, purpleheart footed cedar, and made into arrows by Mr.Mark Detmer, and they are awesome!, but I hear Rusty is retiring.
Yes Rusty is retiring and he is selling all of his shafts and not making anymore. If you want some you should get them while you can.
Thanks Shakes-
I always liked Rush and that line has always stood out, it just seems so true. I've seen them a few times in concert, really good.
Thanks Voodoo-
Rusty makes great shafts and Mark makes some of the best arrows.
I didn't know Rusty was retiring. Too bad as he makes excellent shafts.
Robert
I imagine this could be done to the nock end as well for some neat effects.
