I am in search for the BEST tab on the market; do not care about the price, just want the best; it can be made of any material; thank you for your help;
i like the saunders pak tab the best. once i started using it, ive not looked back. they cost about 10 bucks and last forever.......groundhawg
Black Widow has a good selection and I've settled on one of theirs(I have 3 for just in case) and my wife uses one of theirs, made especially for three under.
For durability the Cordovan tab from Alaska Bowhuntimg supply.I've been shooting mine for about a year and it's still like new and getting slicker. They say that you can never wear it out but go ahead and buy two because you'll probably lose one.I think two of them are like $16.
I second the alaska bowhunting tab it is smooth once broken in
There is a new tab that many users swear it's the BEST tab they have ever used. I have also read about many shooters switching from their normal tab to this new one. It is the SOMA SAKER. It has all kinds of adjustability and it also looks cool.
Good Luck.

I like a Bateman cordovan tab, price didn't matter to me but this is the one I like.It lasts and is comfortable and gives me a great release.
Bateman Cordovan tab--the ONLY leather atab or glove needs to me made from.Smooth and long lasting.
Second the Black Widow. The rubber one lasts longer.
I like the Black Widow tab with cordovan.
You won't get a better tab than the Cavalier Elite in cordovan.Look at what the top shooters use.
ABS cordovan tab.
I'll second the Cavalier Elite in cordovan, I started with a homemade tab for about 18 yrs then went to a glove, and it was ok then bought a Cavalier and love it.
My vote is for the Cavalier
Saunders makes a $2.00 silicone plastic tab that you can cut your own leather for and then attach. It may be the same part that they sell with their pack tab. I love them.
I really do not like a spacer in a tab at all.
Kustom King has a cordovan tab for $10. I have shot the same one for 4 years and it shows very little wear and I shoot a ton. Shawn
I use a Neet Palm Tab. I don't know if they are made anymore. I have used it for years.
I'm with Shawn on this one, have used my Kustom King cordovan tab for over a year and it is real smooth, thousands of shots and bought 2 add'l just as backups-best I've used.
Tell me something guys...if you will...What is the advantage of a tab over a glove? i've been going nuts with these soft gloves and though about trying one....can you still use it in cold weather with gloves? Thanks...Kirk
I like Black Widow with cordovan too.
Kirkll, the tab I use (Bateman cordovan) has a replaceable elastic finger loop so you can adjust it to just about any diameter...i.e. smaller for "bare finger" and larger for wearing over a glove. I tried a glove and liked some aspects of it but returned to the tab. I have always shot a tab and it just feels better. Some say you get a cleaner release with a tab but for me, it just feels "right".
Love my Bateman cordavan tab with finger spacer. Three Rivers carries them. The one I'm using I've used for the last three years. Can't wear the sucker out. Wear it bare handed or with a glove in cold weather. I personally get a cleaner release with a tab than a glove. When I used a glove I would always developed a string groove that created release problems. Switched to a tab. Will never go back.
I love Saunder's pak tabs. I have been using them for a long time. Never found anything I like better.

I like the glove but Mike Fedora was pestering me to use a tab. I shoot 3 under and got the red and black cordovon tab from Black Widow which comes in a three fingers under model. I'm not a tab guy so I have no other experience with other tabs to comapre it too. It does seem to work well but I lost it the first time I used it and eventually found it. If I was a full time tab guy I'd have at least a half dozen :jumper:
I've got a Bateman Cordovan tab. I can't get used to it. It's a large and I suspect it's too big. What is the best way to go about cutting one to the proper size? How do you measure?
Soma Saker
Kirk, I have a mitt with a finger section that can be pulled off and back out of the way. If my fingers get cold, the cover goes on. if i have to shoot, I pull it off with my teeth.
