Title: What are the differences in these string materials?
Post by: ejes on June 10, 2007, 07:44:00 PM
Can any of you who make strings tell me what the difference is between BCY Dynaflight 97 and Brownell Fast Flight Plus and Brownell TS-1?

I'm wondering if DF 97 is the same as Brownell FF+ in particular and if any of them are better than the other when making FF strings.

Thanks!

ejes, the way I read it, Brownell replaced their original fast flight with TS-1; which is supposed to be the equivalent to BCY's Dynaflight 97.  Can't say it's a fact.....Shick

E-mail Ray Brown at BCY (e-mail addy it at  www.bcyfibers.com). (http://www.bcyfibers.com).)   He can give you the details on the differences.  I don't know of a contact at Brownell, but it wouldn't hurt to ask them also if you can.

As far as which is better, that will vary depending on who you ask/who answers on this thread.  I haven't tried TS-1, but I do prefer Dynaflight '97 over the materials I have used.  I only deal with BCY due to their customer service, and due to a conversation I had with a Brownell representative some years ago.

I honestly think that when one company comes up with something that works, the other will have something very similar.
