Title: California trad gangers
Post by: Ausable on June 10, 2007, 02:41:00 AM
Any of you California trad gangers care to help out a transplanted Michigan ganger please give me a shout. I'll be living in Livermore and working in Fremont. I plan to hit the local archery clubs once I get my bows out here - should be in about a month. Thanks.

Tim

I live too far south of you to be of much help, but if you are ever in the San Diego Area, give me a heads up as there are a couple of shootable ranges around here.

Hello Tim and welcome to the People's Republic of Californistan...

In CA there are two entites you might want to look into.  One is the Traditional Archers of California (TAC) and the second is the Califoirnia Bowhunters and State Archery Association (CBH/SAA).

Californistan is a really big long state with world of difference between Northern and Southern CA.  Personally I'd prefer Northern end of the state to the Southern, (where I presently live).

If you find yourself down in the southern end of the state look me up, otherwise perhaps we'll meet at the the Chamberlin Ranch Traditional 3-d shoot, usually held during April near Santa Barbara.

Anyway, welcome...  :campfire:

Welcome to California!
You have lots of great Archery Ranges in your area. If you ever plan to check out the Santa Barbara area and want to bring your bow, shoot me a PM or email, and I'd be happy to take you out to our range in Buellton about 35 miles to the North. The web address is  www.SYVbowclub.org (http://www.syvbowclub.org)
I'll second the Chaimberlin Ranch it's a must do for Trad. shooters.
