I keep showing nock high, not right, nor left nock. shows good spine (shooting woodies), but i cant get arrow to level out, tried everything, is it my release, or i'm i moving nocking point to much? I'ts frusrating.Jonesy
Are you raising your nock point a little to tune for this?
MAN DAVE, IVE BEEN DOING EVERYTHING.
If hitting high raise the nock point a very little bit at a time. WHere is your nock at now?
IVE BEEN LOWERING IT, NOCK IS, WELL WAS 1/2 ABOVE CENTER, BUT IVE BEEN LOWERING IT INSTEAD OF RAISING IT.
There you go. You need to raise when high
THANKS,DAVE!
jonesy,
My Black Widow ended up being 5/8 above center and that did it. Took me a while to go above 1/2", as I kept insisting that 5/8 was too high, but when I finaly did, it turned out perfect. Funny, if I went an additional 1/8" above the 5/8" I was WAY Nock High. Go as high as almost 3/4 if you need to. If that does not do it, start over at 3/8. You may be too high and your arrow is bouncing off the shelf (giving you a false "nock high"). Rest easy tonight and try again tomorrow. You'll find the SWEET SPOT!
FQII is right also, but I bet you started down there.
Only move the nock about 1/32" at a time
THANKS TRIPP, I WILL. jonesy
What's your FOC on those arrows bro?
and dose it vary with different yardage?
Kirk, i was moving the nocking point the wrong way go figure, two ways of doing it and i pick the wrong way lol
done the same thing sighting in my 300 sav one time....felt a little silly at the time...but i got over it......follow the arrow yessireee....
one other trick if that doesn't work. If your serving is thin or your arrow nocks are sloppy, try a double nock. One above and one below, but not too tight. I've got a couple bows that the arrows tend to slide on the string at release and showing nock high no matter where I had the nock. with 2 nocks I started shooting bullet holes.
If your bareshafting by point of impact and nock is high than lower it. Fore some raeson, I like a real high nock on all my bows. 7/8ths to an inch above center. I believe Bob Morrison also has a high nocking point. I spoke to him a couple times and he thinks it has to do with the way we apply pressure to the arrow. Shawn
All of my bows whether longbow or recurve are set at 9/16" above center. I have found that is the perfect heighth for me no matter the bow.
Danny
I agree with what both Shawn and Full quiver ll said
Thanks, Fellas!I'am sure i will have more questions,if not i will have it figured out.JONESY
Vermonster and the rest of ya realy know your @#$% Thanks! my arrows are flying like you guesed it arrows or darts whatever you choose.Jonesy
