I am having a little trouble getting my Robertson as quiet as I want it. I know there are lots of string material out there besides dacron. What are some recomendations of materials with similar qualities of FF but may be quieter. I have adjusted the brace height from 6.5-8 , tried wool silencers in various locations, tried cat whiskers in various locations, mole skin on string groves and brush guards with and without silencers. The bow is 47# at 28, I draw 28" and shoot 2213's at 11 gr per pound. Is there a different string combo that might help? Don't get me wrong, it is pretty quiet but it can be better. The string on it is FF I assume, it's not dacron for sure. Any help appreciated.
I definitely think so. I've found TS-1+ string (a FF material) to be the quietest to my ear.
Where do you get your strings?
Different materials, padded loops, nock fit, even how the string is made can make a difference.
I have customers that say one material is quieter for them than another--but it's not always the same material. One likes Dynaflight, another likes 8125, another 450+, etc.
On a different note, do you shoot at Lost Tribe at Herb Parson's Lake? I usually do, but won't make it this month.

I agree with beachbowhunter, on my Robertson I used a Rod Jenkins TS-1 string and it was extremely quiet.
Chad, I do and I am going to call you. I'm going to measure and see what is on there now and get you to fix me up a couple of new ones.
I just put a TS- endless loop on my Howard Hill Wesley spl. It was quiet with the dacron but even quieter now. Dont use any silencers.
