I love seeing the new bows members post and I finally get to do one. I got this bow recently from a Bowyer from Kansas. His name is Dave Beeler and he is a real class act. Great to do business with. This bow is 55@28, 56 inches ntn. Her riser is Ipe (Ironwood)with accents of Jatoba with black glass. The limbs are actionwood with black glass---back and belly. She shoots great! I love this bow! Fast, smooth, and I can't discern any hand shock. I shot a couple arrows to get the feel of her and started shooting groups like the pics at twenty yards. At my level of shooting this is pretty good. I'm just coming over from shooting recurves. I haven't even seriously tuned her to any particular arrows yet, just grabbed a few and went to it. If anyone wants contact info on the bowyer PM me. Sorry the pics aren't the best, but they'll have to do.
First practice session.

These are all my customs. Beeler Longbow 55@28, Jeff Redfish Hybrid 55@27, and Brown Recluse Recurve 63@28. That Brown Recluse really smokes an arrow! I'm currently selling most of my vintage production bows to make room.

Hello to another Sopranolander. You sure do have a great collection of bows there.Good luck with your new bow.Great group too.
Thanks BentPole,
Now I have to figure out how to resize those pics. I thought I had it that time. Where in Sopranoland is Pequannock? I never heard of it. I'm close to the Outerbridge Crossing to Staten Island.
nice looking bow
nice bows. i had a brown recluse. fastest bow i have ever shot and yes i also owned an acs. was that one made by the original owner or by Tom Curtis? how do you like it
The Brown Recluse is from 1993 when E.T Williams was the owner. It's a great bow. I've quieted it down nicely with the Hush Puppys and Bow Hush. The recent addition of Cougar Track limb bolts really has her looking sharp. I'm thinking about having Tom make me a second set of limbs at a lighter draw weight. That was my first bow, and I had it made to take with me to the Philippines in hope of huntin' something. Never did get to though, so despite her age she's not been used too much.
The Beeler is pretty cool looking.
Thanks. I like the way the riser kind of forms a shoulder where it blends into the limbs. It really caught my eye when I saw it. That handle fits me like a glove and she points like a champ. Best thing is that I really feel my confidence growing with it. I should be more than ready this season. I've taken a few deer with a compound, barebow, but still looking for my first Trad harvest.
Dave, knowing that I live on a boat, even thought to warn me that Ipe doesn't float, so don't drop it over the side! LOL! Now that's a full service Bowyer for ya'! I guess I'll have to make up a little life preserver for her in case I ever take on water!
Lol everyone asks that question where is Pequannock!? That's the way we like it. No really its in the middle of Wayne, Lincoln Park, and Riverdale. Route 23, 287,80.Your in Bon Jovi land. That Brown Recluse is supposed to be a fast bow but I really like that Jeff Redfish Hybrid very nice and 55#s at my draw length too.
I like that bow. What was the asking price if you don't mind my asking?
What is the contact info?
