A friend of mine found a longbow lying on the side of Rt. 80 in Stroudsburg, Pa. on the weekend of the Wittingham shoot. It's a 64" 63# Viper, custom made. Send me a PM for additional info.
is it made outa wood, and has a string?Just kidding i hope you find the owner.
Sounds like somebody had a real bad day!
Could you contact the bowyer, maybe he would recognize it? Well minus the road rash, tar, Michelin tracks, and possum guts....
Dang good of you and your friend to step up and try to find the owner of the bow. Hope yall can locate him.
Gotta suck to be the owner of that one...good luck, hope you find the owner .
uh oh, that bow has been involved in a crime. Alice's Restaurant ring a bell?
I hope you can avoid going to court. ;)
He could have shot bad and thrown it out the window. I've thought about doing that before. ;)
Just kidding, hopefully he will see your post.
I witnessed a fishing rod being broken into small pieces, a couple of weeks ago. The fellow was having his line 'eaten' and twisted by the spool and gears.
After a brief silence, after he threw the outfit from the boat to the bank; I dryly stated, "I'd a just thrown that reel away." :bigsmyl:
It was one of those old Johnson closed face spinners.
I lost my bow on the side of the road once. Long story, but I wish somebody like you would have found it. Good luck finding the owner.
It sure is nice to see an honest person around nowadays. My father in law lost a shotgun once and some kids driving to school saw it roll off the tool box of his pickup. they picked it up followed him and returned it, there still are a lot of good people left out there.
Wow, hope you find the owner.
Thanks for doing the right thing. It takes a tradganger to do something like that.
great site with great people like you! I'd be your friend in aminute as you have integrity.
ttt
 Honesty and integrity you are the man!<><

Several years ago in Arkansas my hunting buddy's 16 y.o. son found a high-dollar compound all rigged out in a case on the side of the road. I can't remember now if he ever found the owner or not - I know he tried.

Hi Guys,
My better half is on the road, so this the Woodsmans' wife with a small update. After some research I was finally able to locate a mailing address for the person who's name appears on the bow. I sent a letter, we'll see if it's the right person! I'll let you know!
Nice to see.
Try calling the Bowyer who should have an idea if it still belongs to the original buyer
