Proud Member of the Gang!

Got caught up on the monent, huh? I think that happened to most of us who have either one of two problems:
1) No will power
2) The need to win....at any cost.
I myself am guilty of both.... ;)
What a showing from a great group of people.
Thanks for all the hard work by our Moderators.
Chort

Was out of town Saturday and Sunday so I missed the feeding frenzy it appears to have turned into. Its an Honor to be assosciated with all of you. Can't wait till next years. Already starting to save up.

awesome.
My pockets weren't deep enough to win but it is awesome to be in the company of such generous and giving folks such as yourselves.
Well spoken by our #1 Cheerleader
Do you know if they put a donor plaque up? If so I'll try to get a pic of it when we go to the memorial gathering at St. Judes.
5/16, .300, 185FPS...
Forget all that stuff. $70,252 is a number I can get behind!
I am truly in AWE of the generosity my TG brothers and sisters. My heart and eyes both just welled up. It is an honor and a priviledge to be amongst you all! :notworthy:
Honors to you guys who put it together. You did the real work. It's easy for me to sit here and bid. :notworthy:
Pardon my English, but BLOODY HELL!!!
That's just an amazing amount from a li'l old trad archery site!
Goes to prove that some of the best & most decent folks from around the globe, choose THIS site to congregate.
I feel honoured to be part of it
"no child left behind" takes on a whole different meaning here at Tradgang.
thank god for such generous people and hard workers.
Doug....That will be the EASIEST and BEST check you get to write till next year :notworthy: :notworthy:
I TRULY stand in AWE of your Thoughtfulness and Tireless dedication to this cause.
It is a true HONOR to call you FRIEND
Thanks most to the Moderators Doug, Terry, etc. for running the show and the generous folks who donated such beautiful gifts! I feel a little guilty having grabbed some really nice arrows and a collector's knife! There, I'm over it-now where's my cookie?!! :biglaugh:
Great job guys that is just AWESOME!! Thanks to Doug, Terry and everybody that helped out behind the scenes and making this all possible. Now I have to go to the bank and then explain to the wife where all of our money went.... :help: :help: :help: :help:
It is such a privalege to be a part of a group like this. Not only is this outstanding, but simply awesome. Knowing that all of this comes from the heart, my hat is off, and hand held high in salute to each and everyone that had a part in this. No matter what you won or bid, it was the heart that did it. Thanks so much for such a wonderful blessing for the kids
Ok guys, I have to go BACK to Kroger and buy the correct butter. I bought 4 pounds of LIGHT butter sticks instead of regular. (This is what happens when you try to shop with 2 boys) I could not figure out what was wrong with my cookies this weekend....then I looked in the fridge and the "light" on the label finally hit me. Doesn't make for good cookies even though it would be better for the waist line..... :biglaugh:
Going shopping tomorrow so send me a PM if you have any thing special you want added and tell me nuts or no nuts....
Oh, and Kevin, I can send you fresh when you return....can't enjoy a stale cookie. Besides, the post office may decided to open it and see where the cookie aroma is coming from....
Thanks again for all the bids. It was great for the kids and I think many enjoyed all the razzing that went on. I know I did.
Thank you to everyone who participated in any way. What a great experience for us all for such a great cause. The kids will be blessed for sure.
Thanks,
Kim
Well AWRIGHTY then!
Put me on the no nuts and definitely no RAISINS list...
And a heartfelt thank you, and you get the blame for starting all of this cookie business, LOL! I bet you didn't know what you were getting into.
I'll be home from Hawaii on the 17th, I sure wouldn't want the Homeland Security or USPS inspectors confiscating MY coooooooo keeeeeeeeee!!!
Been a TradGang member for only a week and this feels like HOME! Stumbled across you folks while searching for a back-up bow last week. I am most impressed with the moderators...Terry, Doug, etc., as well as the other members. I particiapted in the St. Jude's auction and am already looking forward to donating some items in 2008. There are two words to describe the people on this site...FIRST CLASS!
Thanks to everyone who put this together and worked on it! This was my first St. Judes auction and I only donated one thing...but I know for sure next year i'll donate more and save up more money for the bidding!
Thanks to everyone that bid on my item.
I always have wanted to try Silver Flame broadheads. I would have never tried them if it wasn't for a good cause. Way to go every one :clapper:
Wow over $70,000 and all for the Kids. If that doesn't make your heart feel proud.
I get a warm feeling every time I think where this is going and all the help it will provide.
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
I even get a bonus!! Iget to watch my good friend Linc get a Tattoo.(I will film his experience) :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Well done everyone, well done.
AWESOME!!! I am new to your sight and there must have been a good reason for me to find it when I did. My participation took very little thought, and if you wanna know my reason then follow this link. Granpa Fred http://www.caringbridge.org/ne/ethan/index.htm
very touching fred. thx for sharing.
Nice Fred, very nice...Caring Bridge is a sweet place, glad you got a page up. Ethan is what "this" is all about, in a nutshell. We'll keep Ethan in our prayers, and hope the transplant continues to do well. Someday soon, he'll be flingin' arras ! We'll wanna know about that, of course...
Dang JC ya beat me to it,LOL. I tried to do a total last night at work but got tied up with "work" lol. Just fantastic.
Danny
This total can still be added to with cash donations and TGMM memberships until 8pm tomorrow. Just PM me for TGMM pledges and Doug for cash donations.
Very touching Fred. That IS what it's all about! I'm glad I could be a small part of it.
Dave, most of my bids held so I'll have to hold out till next year for TGMM membership.
I saw a post a while back that said it took $75,000 to run St Jude's for a day. Wouldn't it be great if additional contributions helped us over that milestone?! I'm going to include the amount of the bid I lost to help us along.
Good job "gang" and Gob Bless!
That was my post.---My wife and I had the good fortune to visit St. Judes this past March. While we were not able to tour the hospital, we got to see the museum, Danny Thomes memoral gardens, and gift shop. We were told that it takes $75,000 in donations to run the Hosp.every day and the Hosp.runs on donations only. Donate what you can and bid as you can. Lets see if Trad gang.can run St. Judes for a day. ---- Everyone at Trad Gang should be proud of the amount thru donations, bids, contributions, etc., we came up with. I'm proud of all of you. :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
This is so wonderful to hear :clapper:
What a great turnout for these kids and truly worth it!
I drove for terminally ill children whom most were St. Judes patients at various ages and several since lost their battle only to win in eternity with the Lord and no more suffering, but they sure left an impression in my heart and soul with very uplifting attitudes and loving positive hearts.
Our family has personally been helped from this organization for my cousin who lost her battle to spina bifida complications at the age of 14. Though she lived a shorter life, the quality was possible because of their help due to contributions from people like all of you.
Plus the support and love that this hospital gives are what helps these families through these tough times as well as the medical care.
God Bless these children and families who are walking through this together, and to everyone who helped these families by contributing. :)
FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bigsmyl:
This was my first St.Judes Auction and I wasn't quite ready for it, but I am proud to have been part of such a great cause with such a SUPERIOR group of people. I couldn't quite win anything so I'll send some cash.
Bernie, you are too modest. You are probably responsible for half that total with all your pokin' an proddin' to get bids up! LOL! Plus all your donations. You are a True Treasure to our community. I'd like to extent a Special Thanks to you and Rose along with a Humble Thanks to the Moderators who do the heavy lifting.
P.S. Harl, I hope you enjoy my Belt Buckle! LOL! I was about to put you to rest on it when the server froze-up on me! You were the better man this time, but next year I'll be ready for ya!
WOW! I am honored that I could be part, even if just a small part. But I am still doing a little dance.
I won the fudge, banana bread and java and suprize goodies basket. Oh yeah I won the fudge, Iwon the fudge. I will be bringing it to Compton in Berrien Springs to share it around the campfire. it will be cut into really tiny pieces though I don't think I want to share it that much......j/k :bigsmyl:
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Great, Fantastic, I for one am proud to be a part of this group. People who still believe in helping people. Everyone that had a part in this project did a great job.
That is truly outstanding! I've been proud to help a little and be of some assistance.Great job fellow Trad Gangers!
Miss Kim, from what I saw this past Saturday that light butter didn't seem to make a difference. I was waiting for a fight to breakout over that last one.
Great Job gang!!! it's all for the children.
God Bless everyone.
Congratulations TradGang, ya'all did well.
Thank you Doug and you too DannyBows - As a very dear friend (Thunder Bill Wooster) taught me to say, "You make my heart smile!"

Dennis
Awesome! I'm proud to be associated with you folks. Way to go!!
GOOD ON TRADGANG.GREAT BUNCH OF FOLKS.
Congratulations to everyone involved! From those who put the auction together, those who donated and those who spent their money. Like most, cancer has touched many of the people we know. I know first hand the impact that St. Judes has with our children. One of our very best friend's son was diagnosed with leukemia when he was a couple of years old. St. Judes staff was the one who saved this child's life, now eighteen years later, he is starting he Jr. year at the University of Alabama. What is he studying? Pre-med. His dream is to give back to those who saved him. Thanks again to everyone! We all can make a difference! Tommy
whats a --TGMM???

"ONLY ON TRADGANG"!!!!! :archer:
God Bless ALL Here...and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!
I was explaining ti MarthaK today that one thing that makes the Traditional Archery Community so unique is that it is in point of fact a true community. Look the word up in the dictionary and you'll see all our pictures there. :bigsmyl:
What a Wonderful Group of People!! Way to go All!!

To either learn to spell better, or use spell check more often :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Seriously......it was a grand event!!!!!
What a total. I wish I had had the money to bid on something. Unfortunatly (and fortunatly for the kids) everything I wanted went well out of my price range. Glad to see it.
Way to go folks. Just a nother example of why I love this site.
Tipping hat... :clapper:
St. Jude's auction is like a family reunion where ya get to banter with so many folks that feel like Kin but maybe never met!And do a whale of a lot of good to boot for the fun had!
And as my tag lines says, when it's for a kid in harm's way, it touches me deep.
Like Snail skin...it's grown past my wallet on most stuff, but I got 2 cool li'l things that will be treasures for sure!
Congratulations to a super group of people. All TradGangers should be proud of what was accomplished in this years St. Jude's auction. In thinking about next year, why not make a push prior to the auction to get each TradGanger to make a donation of five or ten dollars to get the ball rolling. $5.00 each from 10,000 tradgang members adds up pretty quick. This way those that cannot participate in the auction, or do not win, can still make contributions. I know cash contributions can be made now, but by emphsizing it early on you might be surprised at what you get. I have not read all the post so if someone else has already mentioned this so be it. Just thinking about the kids. Once again congratulations to all and thanks to the administrators for all there hard work. :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Not too shabby an idea - IMO - some folks might just be more inclined to send in a small donation before the auction - then after watching all the action. Ya never know.
As it's been said again and again, you wold be hard pressed to find a better group of people anywhere!
Hats off to you all, and may God bless the children of St. Judes! :clapper:
Wow!! What an awesome effort by everyone. I'm so proud and honoured to have played a very small part in this. Well done to the family, the campfire burns brighter tonight.
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Graham
Bernie, why not a tradgang sticker, or a tradgang/st. jude design sticker, or arrow wrap set that's only $5 above production cost? We could just have people sign up like the MK,LLC cookie company. Orders for the product would only be placed after everyone signs up so there's no risk of over/under ordering.
Doc Nock, I love your signature.
Good Job
Beautiful, just beautiful
This is truly an incredible group of caring people. Like everyone else, I'm proud to call all of you friends.
The unsung work and effort that when in behind the scenes is mucho appreciated. I tip my hat to Ya'll...Doc
Talondale, I have no horsepower other than as a regular member - lol - I just do a lot of "yammering". Terry, Rob, and Doug - decide the nuts and bolts stuff for St. Jude Auction, etc. - :D
Bernie, I know I was just throwing that out to see what you think of the idea. My wife's a graphic designer/architect and I may get her to try to come up with some designs. I may head this up myself next year if I can get the nod from the "officials" here and there's enough interest.
I'll help "yammer" it - LOL, if you do.
Just returned from vacation and have to ship my items out.
I've been visiting here for awhile and when I saw the auction I just had to sign up and join.
My only regret..I was hoping to rebid before leaving for vacation when my ISP experienced trouble and was unavailable! The day the auction ended I couldn't find a place to use the internet :( .
Oh well...looking forward to next year and already planning on listing some items.
Had a lot of fun checking out all of the great items and following along...Thank you all and God bless!
Heymaybe next year we could have some T-Shirts made up. Something like Trad Gangers for St. Judes?Sell them add that to the pot next year everyone loves T-Shirts right Gang!!??
Not much activity on the tag end deals here. Doug? Are you all right out there in God's Land? Haven't noticed a payment posting in about 3 or 4 days - don't make us worry about you, buddy  .
ttt (see above)
ttt
Hey guys been off playing, kinda last minute plan change so we headed south for a couple days to visit Brother Vance. Gotta get some shuteye right now but will jump back into things tomorrow AM. Thanks for worryin about us but all is fine ;) Doug
That's the best news I've had in a few days, Doug :jumper:
