Title: masters of the barebow
Post by: bm22 on May 28, 2007, 11:31:00 PM
i just watched the dvd Masters of the Barebow and  thought it was a great dvd to give you an idea of the different types of shooting. i noticed that it said vol. 1 at the bottom of the box so there must be a vol. 2, does anyone know when it will be released or who is supposed to be in it.
what did you'll think about it.

I enjoyed it...watched it twice now and learned something new each time.  I'm new to trad shooting so it helps to get my own personal style of shooting down with all their tips.

Also reading become the arrow...fits my style of shooting and it great book!

Glad you folks enjoyed MBB1. It has been a lot of fun for us getting to spend time with these archers.

Darryl is working on Vol. 2. He should be done late this year or early next year. Good things take time and Darryl is doing a fantastic job.

Vol. 2 will cover some new ground. Here is a teaser from a rough draft of the back cover:

Arrow Tuning: Paper, bare shaft, and group tuning by: Ken Beck (Black Widow Bows), David Soza (DAS Kinetic Bows), and Rod Jenkins (IBO World Champion).

Target Panic: Thoughts and cures including proper use of a clicker by Ron Pittsley (Predator Bows).

IFAA World Champion and 3-Time NAA National Field Champion, Ty Pelfrey reveals his incredibly accurate string walking discipline.

Barry Wensel, celebrated whitetail expert shares his shooting technique for consistent bowhunting success.

Renowned master bowyer Gary Davis demonstrates his remarkable self-bow accuracy.

World Longbow Champion Larry Yien explains his unique "Gap-at-Bow" aiming method and expounds on the mental side of competitive archery.

NFAA National Champion Loren VanCleave unravels the mystery of face walking.

Steve Fausel, the greatest instinctive shooter you've never heard of shares his natural fluid style.

TV personality and world-class bowhunter Fred Eichler demonstrates his proven formula for dependable shooting in the field.

Noted Longbowman Denny Sturgis Jr. defines his deadly subconscious gap shooting system.

I reaaly enjoyed MBB1. For me the greatest value was seeing all of the different styles of shooting. It goes to show you that theres more than one way to skin a cat! Can't wait for volume 2.

Cool Video....lots of stuff on the table in that one, take what you can use for yourself, and leave the rest on the table.

I certainly ejoyed it both times I watched it.

I liked it.  bm22 watched my copy.

I have many shooting how to videos.  In Shooting a Bow Better Than Ever it appeared to me that Ron Pittsley shot a couple of darts at Asbell.

They might have shooting differences but Ron's Predators sure look like the old Bighorns.
