Title: need help switching from aluminums to woodies
Post by: stick flipper on May 27, 2007, 09:35:00 PM
What spine woodie would be equivelent to a 2219 cut to 31" with 175 grain point. I have looked at different spine charts and I would rather get some input. I am looking for a good starting point to bare shaft tune. my bow is a 65#@30" ancient spirits  thunderhawk recurve. The 2219's were bare shaft tuned and fly excellent, but I would like to shoot some heavy woodies...possibly hickory. Any input would be appreciated.

thanks,   chris

My chart says at your draw lenght to use 2216's which the chart says 84#-86# but I would probably use 70-75# spine. But thats just me.My 2 cents  :D    :D    :D

Anything less than 90 lbs and you`ll be wasting
your time. 30" draw and 65 lbs is alot of push for a wood shaft to take.

You are gonna love how your bow spits out heavy chunks of wood. It will FEEL noticeably different when you shoot. Good luck.
