Here's two that I have on my den wall.

I'm also making a copy of the primitive arrow rack for the St. Jude's auction and a picture of it alone can be seen there.
Bid high and bid often.

Sure wish I had a clean wall like that! I hang my bows on short section of wall in my furnace/hobby room. I panelled leaving a major beam showing and then put hanging racks on the inside wall just under the beam and on the outside of the beam, to get two layers. The Hills get the "nice side" and an assortment of stuff kind of gets multiple pegged over to the left.

How do you guys hang the bows, by the strings, loops, or what? I couldn't tell from the pics.
Thanks,
Bob

OK, this may not be the nicest bow rack but I am proud of it. I only have about $11 in it and it went up in about 5 minutes. These are what I assume to be horizontal coat type racks but I took a couple and mounted them 2' 4" apart vertically and wala, bow rack!!! I like to hang my bows horizontally for some reason.

all these bow rack's..........i got to build one, so many bows...so few places to hang them :bigsmyl:
Here is one I have not finished yet, but you get the idea. Keep in mind also that we are still trying to settle in our new home, but at least I got 'em up out of the way and safe.
It will have some custom wood posts where the pick-ups and bridge were (probably purpleheart)to hang my quiver/armguard/glove or whatever from, and ebony dowels will replace the metal hooks that the bows are hanging on. (of course it will probably be a cold weather finishing project)

Combining bows and guitars??
Clearly, Raineman has evolved into a higher species!
Nice job.
amen... they rock!!!!!!!
Here's one that my brother had made for me while he was still flying Blackhawks. The color in the picture doesn't show it well, but it's a perfect match to my Wes Wallace T/D (grey actionwood w/purpleheart) and it even matches my purpleheart footed shafts. Tried to fix your picture for you but you cut the copy to short to get it.
Sorry gang, thought I had this photo thing down, I'll try again. (http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb2/BRLMKR/WWRack.jpg)
Just some spike horns screwed into the wall.

Jerry, how did you get them attached? Did you drill and tap screw studs, or something different?
I just finised this one.The bows and rack are gifts.

A few 'birds perched on my bowrack. (http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c91/mqqse/DSC04853.jpg)
I see a lot of bows hung vertical by the string.
How does this differ from standing the bow on the tip?
The weight is all on the lower limb tip when hung vertical isn't it?
I hang mine horizontal from pegs just to be safe.

Looks good Pete.
However, some bows on your rack that I haven't shot yet :D ! Just messing with you bud!
How have you been keeping? We'll have to get together for some shooting.
Keep them coming!
Cheers,
Donavan
Bring that new peregrine of yours to some shoots Donovan and you can try out all the new toys , from 50" to 66" RC and LB. I know you will buy at least one .
Pete's question was posed in a prior post as well. However, at least for my part I haven't seen many responses to it. Though there is a bit of tension taken off the lower limb when hanging a bow vertically, by the string, it still seems very similar to standing a bow in a corner. Has anyone ever experienced any difficulties, (twisted limbs, etc.), from this practice?
Most of you have seen this one before but it seems to be poular so here it is again. I've got plans if anyone wants them p.m. me. Mike

Geez Guys,
You don't want to see a picture of mine. It's a 3'X 3' sheet of peg board that holds our bows, catqiuvers , back quivers, arm gards, bow stringers and related gear. The bow cases hang on cup hooks screwed into the sides.I used rubber tubing to protect the bows from the hooks. It ain't pretty by any means but it sure is practical.
Good Huntin,
Ed

Here's one of my Stalker. The wife said the skull made it look like a pirate so I put the bandana on it. We call it my Pirate of the Caribean Bow.

Stalker ?? ........ who made it ? ...... its a good looking bow ...... how long is it?
The Stalker is made by Rodney Wright. Strung it's about 41". Looks like a kid's bow, but shoots great.
