Anyone got one or shot or spent much time with it. Shot one at the MBA covention in MT this last winter. Nice bow, need more feedback.
Did not know they made a td longbow. Three piece or two piece?
Danny
Two piece with a Robertson hinge.
I have had one for six years; it was the second takedown longbow he made. It is an excellent bow that I shoot when not shooting one of my selfbows. It is fast, silent, stable, and smooth (no hand shock). I got the checkered grip and would recommend getting that option. As Steve mentioned, Dave uses the Roberson Connexion hinge but has modified it to make it easier to use. Shooting 675 grain Grizzly sticks in league last winter the arrows averaged around 175 feet per second. The spec's for the bow are 64", 58# @ 28", and I draw it about 28 ½".
He now has a 3 piece with a recurve type riser that I shot. Must be an unknown to the world.
I believe the bow you shot was a prototype and is just now reaching the production stage. He was taking orders for the bow but you have to wait until your name come up on his production list, so there are not many, if any out there yet. It is a great shooting bow and I would highly recommend it, if you like the profile of a three piece bow, which I do not. One of these days I will wear Dave down and convince him to make a two piece recurve: been trying for six years.
Walt, while you are at it,see if you can talk him into building 60 inch longbows.I have a 64 inch but I want a short one for tree stands.
