Hello Guys, I been loking on Ron web page and just saw it is this a new longbow. And how do they shoot.
Cody
Cody Cody Cody, Howard would turn over in his grave if you got one of those new fangled Hybrids :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Ron I have shot more Hybrids then hill.
Howard's quot
As long as you shoot a bow I with you.
Cody
Not yet Cody.....But I got holt of my wifes arm and I'm twistin.
I've had one for about two & 1/2 years. That's it on the hog in my avatar.
Been my go to hunting bow since I've had it. Typical Shrew. They fit your hand like a glove & hit where you're looking if you do your part.
They shoot hard & fast. I have no regrets at all about buying it.
Larry
QuoteAs long as you shoot a bow I'm with you.
Cody, I think that was Fred Bear that said that but Howard may have said it first. :readit:
I'm just kidding you about the hybrid thing, shoot whatever turns your crank.
I'm just waiting for the Mailman to deliver the one I just traded for. Should be here tomarrow with any luck. Shrew Scout Gold recurve 58"56@28.
I've had my Super Shrew Gold for a couple years now and love it. It is a great shooting bow that is soooo quiet. Hardly a whisper.
I will never be without a Super Shrew.
Cheers,
Donavan
Larry-
Is the Shrew you mentioned killing that hog with the same one I bought from you last fall?
Curious is all...
Still need to make meat with it myself.
David
No David,
You got my backup Shrew! The Gold I have is #55 (#58@ my draw length) & 58" long.
Larry
I have a SS Gold with canebrake skins on back,58",59#@28 with antler tips.It is a sweet shooter and a great little bow.
I got a Super Shrew on a trade last week, for a pronghorn and WOW!! It is amazing. The unfortunate part Is that My girlfriend now thinks it's hers...I need anotherone now...LOL
Matty I'd say that's fortunate :bigsmyl: . At least she shoots with you, and she won't have a problem with you gettin another!!
I shot Vermonster's over the weekend and wow, what a shooter!!
Here is my son Danny shooting his.

Ron, Howard would turn over in his grave if I started to shoot a compound LOL.
Cody
Roger, every time I see Danny he's grown another couple inches. Sure ain't no fat on that boy..all muscle. I'll bet he could tote two 5gal buckets of water up that steep hill from the creek without breakin a sweat. :saywhat: .... :goldtooth:
Ron - that picture is from last fall, too. Wait until you see him at Compton...I took him into the Secretary of State Friday for his drivers license, he is now 2 inches taller than me, about 165 pounds of Lacrosse playing beast. My cousin gave him a saturday job on his construction crew, just as labor, and saturday he dug a 20x3 foot trench through clay, and filled it with 4 tons of pea gravel. He came home and ate an entire 1/2 of my wild turkey breast, and 2 pork chops. Those 5 gallon buckets of water that whip me wouldn't phase him at all! :scared:
Thank God he's a good kid, I'm not sure I can take him anymore!
I see a heavier Shrew in the near future. :archer: :goldtooth:
Cody,
I have a Shrew Gold that a bought new in 2005.
Mine is 56" and 46lb@25". It shoots very smooth with no stacking. I liked it so much, I put down my heavy riser recurve and got a Shrew Deluxe with Maple accent stripes in the riser. It too is a great shooter.
Everyone says they are great hunting bows, but I like mine for hunting and 3D. I put a bow quiver on mine to bring up the mass a bit and like shooting them that way.
Bill
Here's one St Judes (http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=106;t=000023)
You guys are killing me. 2 weeks ago I broke my shoulder blade in half, right after getting a Samaria S. S. Then Greg gets on here with a link to the St Judes dream bow. Now my hunting partner calls and says "Lets go to the Comptons shoot" I can't shoot or pull one back but I will be there. Maybe I can get Ron and Greg under the influence of Bazil Hayden and talk them out of one really cheap and be next in line. LOL GREAT JOB GREG
Dan I know your pain. I got to watch Tippit and 4runr shoot my new to me Shrew Scout Lil Favorite, new Black Swan Hybrid, and Saxon American recurve last week. I am still 6-8 weeks away from getting to shoot them myself. But watching others have fun is almost as good.
