By coincidence I found a website of Lone Wolf Archery. The bowyer John Maus builds a longbow called Autumn Storm that features limbs with a concave cross section. I could not find anything about this bow and this always makes me curious
Has anyone of you ever heard of this bow or even shot one? Any info and pics are appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
I own one. The limbs are completely conventional (parallel back and belly) except the fiberglass on the back is sanded on each edge of the limb. The only non-conventional shape on the limb is attributable to the edges of the glass on the back being sanded, yielding a slight convex shape to the back. There isn't a concave surface anywhere on limb, much less a concave cross section.
John, many thanks for your informative answer. How does the bow shoot?
It's a very nice bow. Beautiful craftsmanship and shoots great.
John, I read a few things about these bows as well...
Thanks for your answer, I thought it was very informative and classy as well.
