I have an old bowfishing arrow that needs a new point. How do I get the old one off?? I'm afraid to try heat for melting the fiberglass!!!!  :help:    :help:    :help:

Only way I know is to cut the shaft off behind the old point and epoxy on a new point. However to replace that point you have to cut the shaft again. I personally replace the point after the first cut with a adapter (middle of pic) and glue the new point on with 411 locktite. then the point can be heated and replaced as needed. I also epoxy on a nock adapter with the push in type nock, so I can replace broken nocks quick and easy. All of these things avalible through Muzzy.   (http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb116/BKA1968/025.jpg)
