Kevin said it would be February when I get the bow. Now I have to decide on woods and bow length. I'm going to be shooting around 48-50 lbs @29 inches. For those with experience with RER bows, do you think the 60 incher will be too short and I should go with the 62 incher?
I'm considering bocote, zebrawood, or tigerwood (or maybe cocobolo)for the riser. Any suggestions or pictures you can share?
Thank you
BD
Are you getting an Arroyo, T/D, or a Vortex? As for the bow length...You could go with a 54" Arroyo recurve, 58" T/D, or even a 56" Vortex longbow. Even Kevin short bows will fit guys like you with longer draw lengths. Here is a couple pics of my cocobolo/zebrawood Vortex. Good luck with the new bow!

BD, Congrats on your choice of the RER bow, you won't be disappointed. I draw 29" and have had great luck with his 60" bows-no stack and SMOOTH as silk. The only hard part is the wait but it will be worth it.
LeRoy-love that ebony/Koa combo! what a looker.
Thanks Tom!! It's a shooter too!!
I have a 28in draw and shoot Kevins 58in T/D and a 58in Arroyo they are both great bows and well worth the wait.
Dave
I draw just shy of 29"s and shoot a 54" Arroyo with no problem! Shawn
i have a 60" 49@28 T/D curly walnut and curly katlox riser with curly walnut limbs it is a beaut love mine i am sure you will to my new one coming is kingwood and quilted maple riser and quilted maple limbs mine will be here january but you want have any stack @29
I have a 60" T/D recurve and the length is not a problem. You will love this bow.
I have a 62" and love it. I have had a 58' and a 60" and the 62" is a better shooting bow with a higher brace than the rest.
I just got the Arroyo (pic above from Golden Hawk)
in the mail yesterday and I have to say its the best bow Ive shot! The search is over!
Todd welcome to the RER Owners Club! Glad to have you with us Bud.
Thanks for the welcome and the bow,This is a club im stick'en with!I cant say enough about this bow.
Ive been through quite a few bows in the last two or three years,Buying ,selling and trading and losing money searching for a bow that fits my style and the Arroyo is it.I was shoot'en some Sitkas out of her tonight and stack'en next to each other at 15 yards,Thay seem to be spined perfectly to this bow,I tryed 2016,s with 160g heads and thay flew good and 2020 flew good and even some Alaskans that never flew good out of any bow flew good but the Sitkas flew the best,I have as couple of other bows i might try and sell and get another one, mabe a 54'' or a Vortex
Glad to hear your search has ended Todd. Sounds as though you are shooting it well. That bow really shot well with my AD Nitro Stingers.
