Title: A&H - ACS???
Post by: Morning Star on May 10, 2007, 04:10:00 PM
A few questions for those with the low down.  I've been looking at these bows and wondering what the riser specs are on them?  3/16" past center?  Is anyone shooting these with elevated rests, tapped for plungers?

Don't see anything about custom grips on their site either.  Are they making any high wrist bows?

Yes, I know should email them.  But I know many of you have the low down to and I would just like to discuss how you guys like your bows and have set them up.

They only make the one riser and it is cut 1/8 to 3/16 past. I have not tried anything other than off the shelf.

The stock bow (thru A&H)) is their standard riser wood or Aluminum, O L had posted some time ago that he can make any grip you like on his custom made bow, but the wait list is LONG for the custom.
I am currently awaiting the shipment of my stock bow, and am on the wait list for the custom.

Is O.L the bowyer for the newly formed company A&H or is some other bowyer for A & H going to be the bowyer?

I'm sure O.L. and John Havard would explain if you shot them an email. Far as I know they both make the bows.  I don't think 3/16th's past center would be enough room for a plunger.  It would be close though  :D  .....Van

I talked with John last night and told him about this thread.  He's in WI hunting turkeys last night and actually called me from his blind to see what was happening.  LOL

Here's what I know.  John is the owner operator of A&H and is building the ACX three piece bows and is taking orders.  He will be at Compton this year again, I believe.

O.L. is working to clear the list of one piece bows but is no longer a partner in the business.  I believe O.L. is not taking additional orders but could be wrong.

That's what I think I know but you really should talk with John next week when he gets back from chasing turkeys.

OL is actually still making the 3 piece bows as well. I'm on his list and should be coming up. I was one of the last ones to get a order in before the cut off.
