Way to go. Two critisisms, I offer these because you appear to be doing this as a professional effort so thought I'd offer these tips. Get a different tripod that doesn't use tension to keep the camera in place so that as you are panning to keep the game in view it is a smooth glide. Second, use the manual focus so that the camera doesn't accidently focus on the shoot through screen. Focus at that distance will have a few feet of variance so you won't have to be adjusting constantly. Hope those help.
Keep up the good work. Sounded like you had fun.
Well done! Nice bird, congrats.
Nicely done! Congrats!!
Pretty Cool!
Thanx for sharing and congrads!!
Too cool! Great job!
Thats pretty good with 2 shots one time I took 5 shots at a turkey and still did not get one. I believe my blind was too small not that my shooting was off. LOL
I can't believe you got a second shot! That was great. Thanks, David
Talon...
I know you mean about the focus. But for some reason that day (possibly the position of the sun).....we were getting a better picture from "auto." Everything would have been fine if I would have shot sooner. But as you well know...in traditional shooting...we are waiting for a "feeling"....a point where our brain says..."Take it...you can do this." It just took a little longer. My son had to move the camera....and in turn the screen was closer and the camera wanted to pick up on that.
No...I'm not doing it professionally....just for fun and memories. I'm not giving up the shoot thru screens though. They cover a multitude of sin.
Snag....a quiet...quiet bow!!...not to mention....with that screen down...they have no ideal. He also was fixated on two hens...I believe you can see one of them in the video.
Great stuff!! Congrats on the bird. Thanks for sharing it with us! Cheers, Matt
That was good....the excitment in the voice of the play by play announcer is classic, your son?
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
That was great! Thanks for sharing.Great music too what was it?
Way to make the second one count. Nice bird!
Sweet video!!! I got skunked this year by the birds so it was nice to see some longbow vengance!
It sounded like your son was more excited then you lol. Congrats on a fine bird. Alan
nice bird, thanks for the show.
Great Movie!! now wheres the popcorn! LOL
Great Vid----Congrats
Nice vid Danny! Congrats on the gobbler! I couldn't help but be kinda shocked when I saw the purple fletch arrows you are shooting. Seems I may be shooting some you sent back. Something about the inversion of colors of the fletchs weren't correct. I liked the colors and now my quiver looks very similar to yours. Congrats again on the turkey. CK
Wow...so many responses....let me respond one by one...
Louutah...yes my youngest...my 15 year old son. Trust me....the video only shows half of his excitement. Some of it was edited out. I really think all of the happiness was for me. He knew the goal I had set and the sacrifices I had made.....etc. For instance....even in light of my 35 hours in the blind...I found the time to take a lady from our church on her first turkey hunt. She tagged out her first day with a jake. And...I found time to take my 15 year old who killed a dandy just two days earlier. I think he saw how Dad tries to put others first....and he realized God had blessed me with a wonderful reward. He's a good boy! (My lawn doesn't get mowed during turkey season!!) ;)
Bentpole...the music is from a Ted Nuggent "Hunt Music" CD.
Littlefeather...if you got them from Horne's...than yes sir....they are send backs of mine. WOW!! Small world!! (By the way...Sandy Horne was wonderful and took good care of me. Great folks.)
Why purple?? Well...purple is my bride of 30 years favorite color....so it's a small way I carry a bit of her when I'm away from home on a hunt.
Real nice job, on the bird and the video. My whole family watched it and enjoyed it, thanks!
