Thank you for sharing that
SWEET, Love the Arrow Rest. :readit:
hey man that is awesome i love it. you done real good . :notworthy: :clapper:
Kenny what in the heck is that back design? Don't even tell me you painted that on there.
Too cool!
BTW 1/4" dowels make great arrows for those little bows.
Wow I love it wish I could build one for my grandson.Talent on here is outstanding.Good job. Kip
Wow Dad when you gonna make me a bow. I am adopted arn't I?
very pretty, way to get your kid into it early. It's always great to see a father (or mother, or grandfather/grandmother) and child make a strong bond and grow to love nature together. Good job and good luck 4runr.
Wow! what a great project. What did your son say when you finished the bow and gave it to him?
Great job Kenny!
He said "Dad can I have a snake skined osage selfbow next?"....lol...
Mickey, no I did not paint that on.
Here's a quick how-to. Do a Google search for native american belt patterns. Choose the one you want, print it, size it to your desired size. Then you simply copy as many as it takes for the length of the bow, glue it on, then spray on the finish of your choice.
Can you say CheatR bow backing (to barrow a name from our original CheatR)...lol....
I finally got his arrows finished last night, he's been shootin them without tips, but, yesterday after the glue set up he shot this group. Pretty good for a beginner I think.

He's kinda proud of his bow and he makes sure everyone who stops by knows about it.

Way to go, sweet bow!!!!!!! Ya did good dad!!!
Brent
Beautiful bow good on you for keeping your son involved looks like he's got a great teacher Delin
Awesome!!!
Kenny, that thing is beautiful!!!!I'm sure he loves it. Don
Thanks for all the nice comments everybody. The best part about it is, every day he asks to shoot and it keeps me shootin too. He now tells me he would rather shoot his bow than any other activity he had been interested in. Gotta love that!!
Now to get your daughter out there Kenny.
That is awsome. Can't wait to do that with my kids...I guess I am getting a little ahead of my self there. What kind of bow is that? It's really nice. Like the belt idea!
She's after me every couple days to get her's finished. I'm gonna have to do that cause I don't want her to loose interest. She watches him shoot and she gets the bug too.
Now if you shrink that pattern...matchin' knife handle. Of course a wooden blade might be appropriate. Nice work Kenny...Doc
Nicely done Kenny! What a great bunch of photos of your boy....he's got that look of total consentration at full draw there....looks like you've got some competition coming Dad....great idea on the backing! looks pretty fancy....Kirk
Great work and an awesome bow as well ;)
He should be proud of that bow.So should dad.Great job.Wish I started that early.
Ever notice that kids have good form?
I guess it just goes to show that most of us think to much about changing what comes natural.
I was thinking the same thing, Great form.
Mike, did you notice the arm guard? He latched on to the one you gave me, so now I need to buy him his own. I'll be placing an order with you next week!!
