I'd like to introduce you to the St Jude's Rover Gals for 2007/2008....Miss Hope and Faith Striker. Rick Ellis of Striker Bows has stepped up and donated the bows for this year.
Two 60" 3 piece take down longbows, same woods - same specs....tillered 57#@30 so most anyone can shoot them. Hope is right handed and Faith is left handed so everyone can have a shot. The bows will again be shipped in a hard case.
Inside the case is a hard back journal to list name, date, location and animal if taken.....a mini tripod for pic....photo album for pics if someone wats to print one out.....Digital camera as well, with a card reader for posting pics of the hunts....two extra strings. And a list of names, addresses, and dates of hunters.
The twins will travel around North America hunting for a year with different Trad Gang members. At the end of the year each bow with her respective journal and photo album will be put up on our 2008 St Jude's Auction. Each hunter could also offer up the arrow he used to the St Jude's if they'd like, or they could keep it themselves as a memento. That option would be up to the individual. We will try and schedule the bows with hunting seasons by region. As of right now the gals would be hunting turkeys and spring bears, but when those seasons ends they'd be chasing hogs in states where the season is year round...and in the fall the gals would roam regions with shorter big game seasons like up north or out west. Anyway, we are going to keep them in hunting season all year.
A sticky post to the top of the PowWow will keep track of the adventures and travels.
Everyone on the list would be allowed to have the bow for a total of 10 days...this would allow for 2 days of practice and 2 days of shipping. Each member that get drawn to hunt with the bow would need to commit to shipping the bow 2nd Day Air to the next member. This way we can get two members hunting with each gal a month. The bow could also be scheduled to go on a hunt where several members are attending...like a TX Sweat hunt where more members would have a chance to hunt with it. We would also like for everyone that hunts with the bow take their picture with it no matter if they took an animal or not....and tell about the adventures of hunt.

If you would like to hunt with one of these bows, please email Joe Coots and include what you are wanting to hunt. If you are right handed PLEASE include "HOPE" in your email title, and if you want "FAITH" do the same. That way I can file those emails in their own separate folder for less confusion, and we'll schedule the best we can. BTW, you must be over 21 years old to participate.

Already getting emails fellers...Sept/Oct/Nov are filling up fast! Get yours in as soon as you can and we'll do our best to secure the spot you want.
Remember, please notate Hope (for right handed) or Faith (for left handed), pick the date as "1st two weeks of ___" or "2nd two weeks of ___" with an alternate or two in case your requested date is already taken.

Ah shucks! The 2nd day air requirement eliminates me for taking it on a bou hunt! It's not available here. Sounds like a fun thing good luck!

Fellers, sorry for the delay, I was a bit overwhelmed with work this week but am working on the calendar as we speak. I should be able to confirm the first round of emails and post taken/available dates by the end of the weekend. Thanks for your patience....
Regular hunting season is taken for Hope, and I will be sending emails out requesting alternate dates in order of date/time of the sent emails. Miss Faith still has some openings during normal "deer season" times. I would suggest turkey hunting as well as "off-season" hunts for the best chance.

Oh yeah, makes it a ton easier to sort if you 1) place either "Hope" for right handed bow of "Faith" for left handed bow in the subject of the email, 2) include your member ID and # for Tradgang, 3) include your shipping address and phone number. This will considerably speed things up....Thanks guys!

OK guys, the calendar is up to date for the emails I have received. I'm waiting on a couple of confirms for alternate dates and then I'll post here. Mid August through Nov is booked for both bows. Dec-mid Jan is booked for Hope but wide open for Faith. Some spring turkey hunts fillin in as well.

Between, John/Alaska & Iron Bull, by the time HOPE gets to California, the chances of her not being blooded, are slim to none :saywhat: .
The good news is, she will be well broken in, ready to "GET R DONE"
I already marked my calendar and the dates should be good for some great deer hunting, boar & maybe a bear.

Curtis is tentatively having the Sweat next year at the same time as the Bunny hunt because of javie season in the area he's planning on. Just couldn't make both work out. If Shawn and the boys are done and can send it to Curtis, all the better, but the Bunny hunt request posted the date first.

Man am I excited! I get to take Miss Hope to Denton Hill! I will be there Thursday-Friday-Saturday....so if anyone who is not getting to spend time with her is gonna' be there, just get me a PM or email (rainemans71@verizon.net) and I'll do my best to give you a few minutes and/or shots with her.
Thanks to all for this opportunity, and even though she will not likely draw blood with me, I do not take this lightly. What better way to talk up St. Jude's and Trad Gang then to carry her around?

looking forward to my visit to the dark continent with "Hope" at my side. there will be 4 Trad Gangers on this trip, Doc Brady, Jon Simoneau, Ed Frye and myself. there should be some great memories to add to the journal from this hunt as well as images and film.

Jim, i am going to miss Denton Hill this year, family vacation. we don't get home until the 28th of July. my wife works in Fredericksburg and ice cream at Carl's sounds yummy! would you be available to meet on monday the 30th or tuesday the 31st?
