Title: Regluing shelf rest
Post by: owlbait on May 02, 2007, 01:48:00 PM
I have a leather rest glued to my Quinn metal riser. It is starting to lift. Ant easy way to get the edges glued back done? The rest get abused during bowfishing. Where it lifted has peeled the paint also.
Thanks.

Super glue works pretty good, at least on my wood bows.

Barge Cement glues them down and wont hurt the riser, you wont be able to remove the super glue without removing the finish.

Contact (Barge) cement is best for gluing rests.  The residue can be rolled off with your thumb when you change rests.
