Due to a recent medical issue with my feet, I need to go to a 4E or 5E wide hunting boot. I am looking for any help from soneone who has been down this road to find Insulated (1200+ grams Thinsulate) and Snakepoof boots that come in 4E/5E widths. Need to start now to be ready for next hunting season.
Thanks for the help.

Check out custom boots from the Russell Moccasin Co, http://www.russellmoccasin.com/ They will match your feet. Mine are shaped like a ping pong paddle - wide in the front and narrow in the back.
You might give Lathrop & Sons a call. They are sponsors here.
I wear a 14EEEE and the most comfortable I've found so far is the Muck boot. They aren't snake-proof, but you can get gaiters or chaps for that if needed.
Even Russell is very limited (or at least was a year or so ago) on what sole they can offer for really big/wide feet--I checked.

Wolverine makes a few models with high insulation in extra wide. I have a review on the Momoth model in my trad reviews. at www.peteward.com (http://www.peteward.com)
It makes me wonder why you need 1200 + grams of thinsulate and snake proof??
When snakes are out it will be one hot boot on the feet.
Ive been hunting for yrs. for a boot to fit my small wide feet 9 6E but always end up having to buy a size larger in 4E, somebody could make a fortune making hunting boots in 5-6 E widths...
If your only a 4E Wolverine makes some really nice boots..
Cabela's sells some 4E hunting boots.
I haven't tried in a few years, but when I did there weren't any that fit--I tried every boot I could find--Rocky, Georgia, Wolverine, Red Wing, LaCrosse, etc. etc. etc. The only shoe I've found that fits me right is New Balance--other 4E's don't. I used to suffer (literally)when I worked in contruction and had to wear steel toed boots.
But, like I said, it's been a few years--maybe there's something new out there for us guys with full-sized feet.

Thanks guys for the inputs. I will have to start making phone calls. Just to clarify -- I am looking for 4 different boots -- 1) Insulated hunting boot, 2) Uninsulated Hunting Boot, 3) Rubber Boots, and 4) Snake Boot. This covers the various types of hunting areas & conditions.
Chad -- you are right. New Balance is about theonly thing out there. My foot doctor got me to wearing them in the 2E width and kept the same style when I had to go to 4E. They make their hiker for Cabelas only and that is the shoe I wear daily. Too bad they do not make a boot.

Jimmy sent ya PM..I got some ideas but not sure they are legal to say on here not sponsors or anything.
I'll second Russell Mocassin. Custom made to YOUR feet. Alot of models/styles to choose from. They'll cost more but 20 years from now you'll likely still be wearing them.
Ditto Russell Moccasins, with measurments of your feet they will custom make them for you.
DagGONE you boys got some BIG ole feets!!!!!
I wear 11 1/2 eee boots; and that is tough to find; as most boots are made more like regular and wide.
If you think boots are a problem; try some socks that use size 5 tops with size 12 bottoms; you cannot pull them on!
good luck in your search. I am kinda lucky that a lot of boot makers produce my size. I have in the past bought 12e boots; and suffered along with it.
Not an issue for most folks; but for some of us- its a real issue!
