Hi, this is my first post here:
I started shooting archery about a year and a half ago, and have made all my own equipment, which I think is ok, but I have never shot or even held another tradbow besides my flatbow. After seeing what other people can do, I feel the desire for some a bow, and some matched arrows.
I saw the Nirk Rebel and it looks like a steal: pre-drilled for a bow-fishing reel, sights, It is a good manuaverable length, and so on. I was wondering if it is really as good as it sounds.
What would you recommend for arrows, carbon, aluminum, wood?
Should I get a rest for the arrow, or just shoot of the shelf?
Sorry for all the questions, and I am glad to be part of the Trad Gang site.
Welcome. Can you give us a little more info about the weight, your draw length and what you plan to do with the bow? Do you plan to just bowfish or you getting it to sling arrows, hunt, etc. Few more details and we can help you some more. Steve
Hi there-Hap
I would like to have it about 40#, and my draw is about 27 inches. I would probably use it for roving, but I would like to get into bow-fishing, as there are alot of Carp in the ponds, and lakes near me.
Thanks for the quick responce!
I think the Nirk Rebel would be a very good choice. Good luck....Van
