Well my anniversary gift I told you about back in April (Rose Oak - King Pather)finally arrived yesterday! Brandon did an awsome job and I couldn't be happier. Craftsmanship is top notch, it is a real looker. Only shot it a couple times so far and it was right on. It has the best grip I have ever felt. Plan to break it in proper this weekend. As promised, here are some pics. Brandon sent them when it was ready to ship. It is 62" and 51#@28". Riser is cocobolo with pierce points and bocote accent stripe. Limbs are bocote. Very similar to the one he has on his web site. I'm pumped!

I come home from work last night with a big bouquet of roses and a card for my wife on our 15th wedding anniversary. She whips out a wrapped package. I open it up and find a bow sock from Rose Oak Bows, a note from Brandon congratulating me on our anniversary and an order form with a paid in full credit for a new bow. He says it will be ready June 30th, I just have to contact him with all my choices and specs. My wife saw me drooling over his bows one evening, she made note of the name and took it from there. I was totally taken off guard. She said it made her day just to see the smile that broke out on my face. I'm a blessed man - I can't wait, I've heard great things about Brandon's bows.

Man thats a good wife!
You are a lucky man. To find the one you have stayed with that long and one that would do that for you. Congrats on the new bow and the 15 yrs!

That's a great surprise...I'm keeping my wife as well. She's been saving for 3 years for my 20th anniversary present. I just booked my African safari for August 2008. Only 16 months! Can't wait for our 30th! Congrats on 15 great years, here's to many more.
congrats man way to go  i have been married for 31 years and were still in love
What an awesome surprise.......what did you get for her? ;)
CONGRATULATIONS on such a GREAT wife...oh and that bow will be great too.
I hope you get her what she wants...
A good woman is hard to beat. Congrats on 15yrs first, and in this case the bow second :clapper:
Congatulation.... :notworthy: :clapper:
And I'll be the first to ask "Dose she have a sister"
Thanks guys, God was definitely looking after me when he brought her to me.
My gift to her is a weekend in Chicago to take in the Broadway show "WICKED" She has wanted to see it for quite some time, but would never spend the money on herself (pricey tickets!). She has always been like that-everything for the family never herself. I'm also getting her wedding band redone, she has wore it thin and is afraid she will loose the diamond.

Congrats on the bow and the anniversary!!
Congrats on the Anniversary. Sounds like you know how to make each other happy. Enjoy the bow and the trip to Chicago...
Congrats on both the bow and your anniversary. I keep dropping hint to my wife but I think she is ignoring me on purpose.
That is awesome, happy anniversary!
Well, happy anniversary and Congratulations on the bow.
God Bless
should we ask what your wife got? :bigsmyl:
please don't tell us you did like Jeff Foxworthy and took her to McDonalds drive thru, telling them to "biggie size those fries for the little woman, its our anniversary!" did ya??
I'm #2, does she have any sisters?
Ray, I was wondering the same but I saw he did himself proud in a previous post: "My gift to her is a weekend in Chicago to take in the Broadway show "WICKED" She has wanted to see it for quite some time, but would never spend the money on herself (pricey tickets!). She has always been like that-everything for the family never herself. I'm also getting her wedding band redone, she has wore it thin and is afraid she will loose the diamond."
Great husband and wife combo there!!!

Congratulations on Your 15th, and I would say Your Wife is a "Keeper"!! Bless Ya Both and Many, Many More Happy Years to You!!
Congrats on having a great wife. Mine bought me an 08 whitetail hunt in Alberta for Christmas.
jack, that's funny right there!
Brandon's bows are definitely on MY short list too...not enough time, and not enough money for all of them is all I'm saying!
must be cupid firing some arras around here... :goldtooth: :goldtooth: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Four sisters, 5 brothers. All happily married-sorry guys. The holidays are something to be experienced.

Good girls are hard to find. Congrats, and many happy returns.
good wives are rare indeed. Mine encourages me to hunt as she knows that's what I like. When I don't get drawn here, she just says, "book a flight to Missouri-hunt there with your cousin!" I don't even have to ask!!!!! Nice of your wife to get you a bow.
Thats what marriage is all about. A good relationship like that is a blessing. My wife and I are like that too. Oh and congratulations on the new bow!

Nice bow Burnsie. I used to Pheasant hunt around Mahomet, in my younger days. Is it still a dry town?
Burnsie-are you still loving the bow? How does it compare to others that you have shot. I'm a takedown guy myself, but I must say that is one of the prettiest one piece bows I have ever seen.
BD
TRB, Pheasant hunting is still good around these parts, I'm fortunate my brother-in-law is a local farmer with plenty of pheasant cover and a good dog. Mahomet actually just passed a referendum this spring to allow alchohol sales. The local IGA was just granted the first license since WWII a few weeks ago. Not sure if this is progress or not.
BD, Yes I am still pumped about the bow, it looks and shoots great. I defintely reccommend Brandon's bows. I grew up near Hudson, WI (Clear Lake)
Burnsie
Burnsie-
How fast is it? Have you shot it through a chronograph?
