I bought this bow a while back, and was thinking about selling it, but have no idea what it even is!!! It is an older recurve, has no markings on it, except the numbers 00592 stamped into the upper riser...other than that, nothing, not even the length. Draw weight feels comparable to some of my 50-55lb bows, so I am guessing its safe to say its somewhere in that range. Any help is greatly appreciated...Thanx

Looks kinda like an old Shakespeare or Pearson to me.
I have been told before that it may be a shakespeare, but in looking at a website listing all of the bows they made, I couldnt find one like it.
Damon Howatt or Herters
I agree with Mac
Could be someones copy of one of those noted above.
ChuckC
Looks like a Herters to me...
JL
Herters here too...the Mag
Any idea what it might be worth? Probably not much I am guessing.
I would say it's a Herters but I think I've also seen a Browning like that.
I have never seen a Herters with a stamped number like that, nor with the accent stripe. My first impression was Pearson, a Rogue or Javelina, but I don't get a clear matchup there either. Looks like a small custom bowyer's work or the like to me. What color is the glass?
Killdeer
It's not either Pearson or Shakespeare.
It's not a Herter's...as Killdeer mentioned they didn't use numbers stamped into the wood. Damon Howatt did at one time. My impression is that it may be a home made bow...has that Bingham look about it.
Do you have a photo of the tip overlays?
I'll try to get more pics guys..thanx
