No luck again this morning. Heard a close shot up the valley at 7:07 and then silence until 8:45 when I came in to get ready to get on the road.
Hope you other fellers are doing better.
Your killing me.lol
Why don't you shoot off your porch? :bigsmyl: Chort
Nice bird !!
You'll get um Mickey we have faith!!Hey walk in the woods with your camera. It seems like you have them trained. When they see you holdin' the camera they always strike a pose.So when they go to pose drop the camera and wack um.Hey you better buy a disposable one though.Don't ruin that good camera of yours. We want to see alot more pictures.
Great picture.
It's only the second day Mickey. Plenty of time left. Just think of those poor souls who you heard shoot...their season is over already and yours has just begun. :)
Another great pic. Thanks.
Another cool pic Mickey, our youth season is this weekend, hoping to get Hunter his first bird.......I love to see his face when a tom cuts loose a gobble up close.....
I think I know the answer to this but I'll ask anyways, any birds around/in your yard the last few days?
Take care,
David
Best of luck to Hunter...that would be special wouldn't it?
Yes, you already know the answer. No birds lately. We did see 3 toms running like racehorses down thru the woods over in the neighbors woods tonight about 7:00..running so fast I thought they were deer.
Supposed to rain in the morning. if it is raining when I get up, I won't be going out.
Mickey,
I failed to post on the feather stripping topic when it came up this year but I just wanted to thank you again for your wonderful tutorial. I referred to it again this year before working up all the left wing feathers from a bird that my friend shot. It was great and so easy it felt like I was cheating!
I can't wait to fletch them up on an arrow.
Chris
