Ive been reading alot about people and the different ways that they fletch their arrows..I used to thinkit was 3-5" or flu flus but Im finding it is not the case..First question is what setup do you use and the second is what cut. Thanks
I am using 4-5in T-Hawk feathers

I use 3 5.5" shield cut fletchings. Sure makes and arrow stable.
I use both 5" parabolics or 5.5" High Back shields. Like them both but I prefer the 5.5" when shooting 160 gr Snuffers. I want quick stability and all my arrows have a full helical wrap.

I'm shootin 4-4.5" banana cuts fletched 75x105.
3 5", shield and banana cut. used 5.5" traditional cuts but found the 5.5" a bit too long.
I Use (3) 5 1/4" turkey feathers cut Indian style.

I use 5.5 inch T-hawks.
Depends entirely on my mood when I'm making the arrows.
My current 'standard' is 3 x 4.5in (shield), but I also quite like 4 x 4.5in (at 90deg)
That length gives me 'enough' fletching and lets me get 2 out of a full length feather.
With selfnocks I like to use a 3x 5.5in or 6in long triangle (traditional english cut), but sometimes I'll go with 4 x 4.5in
There's no magic to it. Just mood.

(who doesn't notice enough difference in flight to worry about it)
I use 5" feathers, 12-4-8 o'clock with 12 as cock vane.
my last arrows were fletched with three 5 on Shields, 2 solid red, one barred blue with a reflective yellow cap wrap, on a Easton Carbon Excell.
this year im usin three 5in Shields, 2 orenge barred, one solid green, with a yellow reflective cap wrap, on a GrizzlyStik Sitka.
I like 3-5 1/2" High-back Shield cut......
For hunting arrows I like to use 4-5 1/2" high back shields.
5" shield cut, all barred, cock feather white. When I can get them I chop turkey feathers.
Just 'Cause Thats What I Like!! :archer: Good Post & Poll
I love my P&Y cut feathers, but for hunting, I prefer 3-5" parabolic mainly because I feel they are the quietest type of fletch shape.
I just switched. I started my traditional arrows with 3-5.5" feathers and then went down to 3-5". I ran out and could only find 4" feathers so I thought, what the heck and bought them. I was really surprised at how much better the 3 4" fletched arrows flew. I'll stick to that until something better come along. :)
I shot a lot of combinations over the last 25 years and did not have a preference. When I tried the 4 fletch method with 4" feathers recommended by the Arrows by Kelly (Foxfire) website. The improvement in arrow fliqht and forgivingness was tremendous. So that is all I shoot now. I use both shield and parabolic fletch.
i use 5"sheild right wing for every thing from 3d shooting to hunting. :archer: only way to fly
Thanks for voting and the feedback guys..I know there are more than 75 voters out there though.. :bigsmyl:
Can't answer the poll cause I don't use only one of the choices. I use different configurations for different applications :bigsmyl: ...Van
Guess that never crossed my mind..Might have to do a new poll after this one
I like three 5 1/2" high back sheild cut for all my shooting. Been using them for 30+ years no need to change now 8^)
