I'm sorry they said that was impossible. :biglaugh:
The busters are busted :notworthy: :notworthy: :D
The sad part is, I just finished that dozen yesterday.....
Way to go Chad!!
Nice shot....but the myth was that one could not be split end to end.... :p
Great shooting my friend that myth is busted at least to the foam!!!!
All right brother! way to go my man!
hope they see those photos!
Derek
way to go. nice shooting  :archer:
:bigsmyl:
Hey bud, are you gonna let us auction that at the Classic?!!
I watched that show twice. Your pictures do not change the busted myth. They had quite a few Robin Hoods like yours. The myth was to reproduce a split end to end like shown in the movie. They could only reproduce it with cane arrows. They then analized the movie footage as showed close up pictures of the arrow used in the movie. You could clearly see it was cane also and did in fact split end to end.
To even have a prayer you would need a perfect arrow with no run off to split to one side. They searched and found some close but was unable to maintain the split to the point. They also noted arrows true to the time period likely had reinforced nocks making it that much more unlikely.
never the less...Great shot!
ya sung it and brung it!good stuff
You can only do that ten more times, then you'll need more arrows, great shooting
Nice shooting Chad!
It never fails with brand new arrows I can never have a full dozen as it seems like I always break or loose one the first time shooting them. So now after I make a set of arrows and get ready to go shooting I just break one in half before we even start :biglaugh:
After looking at the numbers, I figure my 54# bow split the arrow 6 inches. So, if I can tiller a 218# bow....I believe I could split it all the way!
I haven't figured out the pulling and accuracy part just yet, though.....
Chad
I have seen you pull off some nice shots but this one is something special.
Now you can shoot as good as you sing.
Hacksaw
Funny how trashing a new arrow can make ya smile. :bigsmyl:
Nice shot. I split a lodgepole pine all the way
to the back of the point with a Bob Lee many
moons ago. Heck I aint a good shot either, and
the bow was a demo at a traditional shoot. So
don't let the Myth Busters fool ya it has been
done and is possible. By the way mine was just
pure luck.
Now that's something to sing about.Myth busters fooey!
