Title: Traditional Shop in Northern VA
Post by: mfh on April 16, 2007, 09:04:00 PM
I am just outside DC...and looking for a shop that has served you well.  Now that I am getting into traditional, I will need a show that I can head to and get the necessities required...with some helpful advise.  Anyone happy with a particular shop in my area?
Cheers,
Matt

And thanks in advance...one of many questions I will likely post here.

Matt, I'm in Alexandria and have looked for trad shops.  Haven't found anything except one or two wheelie shops.  I buy everything via internet or at shoots.

I used to travel 80 miles to Tim Williams shop in Back Creek WV. He closed, then luckily the net came along.

Look up no frontiers archery.  Eric Fanques works out of his garage in McClain making thousands of arrows.  He has or can get about anything you might need.

mfh, the Baltimore shoot in May will be a shopping mall to die for! Like Knifey, I get most stuff online or at shoots. If I have any gear that you want to try out, lemme know. Are you a member of NORVA?

Kimsha Archery is in MD; not sure exactly where.  Never been there, but Tom Parsons always gets raves about his bows, service, etc.  There is a website.

Holy cow...all I can say is thanks.  As I mentioned, I am new...and am honestly overwhelmed by the support on this site.  I below to lots of other hunting and bow forums (from crossbow and wheelie) but you guys are a cut above...

Thanks again!

I am heading to Albany NY this weekend and am going to stop in at Lemmes Archery in Colonie...spoke to him today, and he appears like a knowledgeable owner...think I may as another question on if anyone here has used them for gear.
