Title: Browning Safari 1 help needed
Post by: DKG on April 15, 2007, 04:15:00 PM
I have an old Browning Safari 1 50# 54" bow that I need some help trying to repair.  It appears that the outer lamination(1/4 by 1.5")on the bottom limb has separated or cracked.  It looks mostly cosmetic, but I would like to fix it befor it spreads.  Would epoxy or super glue do the trick?  Is there another fix to this?  There is also some old  dried up adhesive on the riser.  What would take this off?  This is a friends bow.  I want to fix it up for him if I can.  Thanks for the help.

Get hold of Rich Lopez, Droptine Traditions...one of the finest bow restoration guys out there...lives in Maryland. He has a facebook page and is on a few sites...quite opinionated so he may not be on here hahahaha...but is one hell of a bow doctor.
