this bow was in the classifieds for less than 9 hours and disappeared. People wondered what happened, and my friends wondered how could I email them a picture of the bow in my hand the day after. I drove 240 miles roundtrip to get it from the hands of Maxwell himself (who drove 100 miles r/t :readit:

Alex, Looks like Sweet Music :) Doc
Sweet, how does she shoot? Shawn
Does playing music to it make it shoot better? If so maybe I need piano lessons. great looking bow!
I don't even have to concentrate on a spot. The bow seems to know the spot already! :archer: and you're talking about smooooth!!
60#@27" it zipped one of my 580gr turkey arrow at 178fps
FXE: good idea. but I have to find out what kind of music would make it shoot better
I knew that one wouldn't last on the board. Congrats!
sweet what kind of veneers
I think that bow would hummm with any of your music...great duo! Now there are a couple of reasons for Ray to call you Fingers :)
The limbs are imbua veeners probably over action wood limb core. The few times I shot it I sang brown eyed girl Van Morrison song the bow seemed to like it even if my friends did not. La la la la la la la la laaa-d-da la-d-da. Give it a try.
Maxwell
Yes...Daves Longbow is Top Notch in my opinion.
Ernie
Man very nice , congrats :0)
Alex with a hybrid? Is the sky falling?
Beautiful bow buddy. Now we have to see what kind of turkey medicine it has.

Brent
Good for you Alex! That bow is a beauty for sure. You'll see those hybrids are awesome.Good luck with that baby.
I'll let you shoot my new bow, if I can shoot yours :goldtooth:
I'd love to shoot a Schafer longbow, never have....
Alex, nice bow nice antler work on the tips, good luck with it..ED
alex, SWEEEEEET schafer, even if it is lefty..haha! that imbua looks like an awesome veneer. dave sure knows how to put together some beautiful wood combo's on his bows. just a spectacular bow and even a better shooter i'm sure.
p.s. if that bow was a righty i would have raced you the 200+ miles for it! LOL! congrats on the bow, mike
BTW, since alex declared 4/15 the "schafer holiday" i propose that everyone use their tax refund and give themselves a special present, just like he did. great idea alex!!!!!!! i'm thinking new limbs for starters...........
:biglaugh: I called my LH buddy up to see if he wanted me to grab that bow for him, knowing it would not last long; I went back in an hour later to say "I'll take it" and it was GONE!!!
Alex, That is one sweet looking bow...I love the rounded antler tips!!
I got some used camo ST limbs coming Monday maybe Tuesday....maybe it could be Schafer week!!! :goldtooth:
Congrats Alex, I hope to see that bow in May! :wavey:
F-Manny

Curt, of course you can shoot it, anytime bud!
Mike, every year on April 15th???
yes, this bow will make it up to VT in May
Alex
PS: it was interesting to shoot this bow back to back with my other bows. A whole new experience :)
Very nice Alex!! There's been some nice lefties selling lately on the classifieds!!! And they don't last very long either when put on there!!!
That's a work of art for sure!
alex, any day of the year is fine ...as long as it is EVERY year! LOL! and please elaborate on your experience w/ shootin the bows side by side. thanks, mike
Good luck Alex...a perfect match I,d say...art and artist!!!
Good luck with the new bow Alex...looks real sweet, too bad your a leftie.
That is one beautiful bow. It even looks rich. Window is on the wrong side but that don't hurt the beauty.
Chort
That's a real beauty!
Good luck!
Larry
Nice bow and pics Alex ! If you ever wander to MN I would love to see you play...please keep us posted.
(I've been known to do a decent harmony if you're ever in need of a vocalist ;) )
>>>>>-------->
I bet you'll find that your new bow may shoot best to some good Reggae jams.
md...if everyone did that then it would take 4 years to get a new Schafer instead of one!!!! :biglaugh:
DOH...never thought of that ray! hmmmm.....we'd better keep it quiet then.. haha! :biglaugh:
Alex....You should have asked Bill (Maxwell) to give you a deal on other Schafer longbow. Yep, he's got another Lefty Schafer Longbow stashed in his basement that's just as pretty!
Tim,
thanks for the classified info :) . Ive been holding and admiring this bow since I got home with it.I must be in a state of hypnosis, I guess. can't wait for the rain to stop to go out and shoot it
Sun's shining over hear Alex, get in the car bring it on over! :bigsmyl:
Brent
Am I the only one who caught the Marley pic in the background?
Hence my musical selection.
Raineman,
Bob looks like he's holding the bow, doesn't he?? :archer: you must be the only one, hehehe
If the picture is any influence I think the bow will shoot best when Bob Marley is played for it!Maybe you should call the bow "Easy skankin"!? Good luck with it. I hope to own a Schafer longbow one day to go along with my Silvertip recurve.Take care, Paul
Vulture's are a circle'n now. Dang now I'm gonna have to check Trad bows every 1.5 seconds instead of the 2.5 :biglaugh:
Brent
Actually Alex, It looks like Bob is "blessing" it. You should name your bow "Ziggy".
Great looking bow Alex, just a little supplement while you're waiting on the new one, eh?
Ok, maxwell Im all ears and Im LEFTY... :) Alex. buddy that is a awesome bow ....some pretty...Marco#78 :wavey: :goldtooth:
I don't care how old we get, getting a new bow is a great feeling. Just picked up a Zipper TD myself. Something to get the juices going, new bow to tune up. Always a plus when you land one of the caliber that you found. Pretty cool you took off to personally pick it up. Bows got good mojo already. Hope it brings you years of enjoyment!

Maybe Alex you should change your TradGang name to Buffalo Soldier!!!Yah Mon!!
Aint we a strange bunch!!!!! :bigsmyl:
Speak for yourself Terry! :D
Nice stick Alex!
I don't know Curtis, take a look at Terry's hat
Terry, Ive been told that by some, but I will never admit it! :wavey:
Alex today I'm kind of kicking myself, I just may have SEEN IT FIRST ITS MINE :bigsmyl: Hey Maxwell want to bail me out! :jumper: Is it wimpyer?
Brent
Brent,
step 1 at the bow collector's rehab center: admit that you're powerless over the beauty of a well-made traditional bow, recurve, longbow or selfbow
step 2: sell all bows except one to your friends for a fraction of what they cost.
step 3: you'll never get there :bigsmyl: :archer:

Sorry.........just can't get past the Marley undertone of this thread. I'll stop now.
Alex are you saying I need help :scared: I'm alright in my own mind. And very aware its of limited resorces! :D I only buy bows at a fraction of there cost. From my friends USED :readit: Then again theres a new PGA 50th being glued up today according to them. BUT MY WIFE BOUGHT ME THAT ONE FOR MY 50TH. SO IT DON'T COUNT! :biglaugh:
