Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. Mark Baker told me about this site and well I just recieved a Sheepeater Spirit bow from him and it reminded me to check this site out. Mark was not kidding when he said this bow was light and quick. I thought my Schafer Silvertip was light, but this bow is like a feather in your hand. I can't wait to get that little 48 inch recurve in the blind and give these PA gobblers a hard time. I think, no, I know i was more excited about skiping an arrow off a jake last year than my uncle was about shooting a bird w/ a 10 inch beard with his gun. That was the first time I hunted turkeys with a traditional bow. This traditional stuff is just plain fun. Hope this wasn't too long. I hope to make some new friends here.
Welcome from one Pa boy to another!
Hello Brad, I think you'll like it here. You won't find better folks anywhere. Welcome to the Gang. :bigsmyl:
Welcome and good luck!
From the traditional guys that i've had the privledge to meet and hang out with, i couldn't agree more about finding better folks anywhere
Since I've started hunting traditional seriously, I've had the privledge of having fellows like Mike Misch, Monty Browning and Mark Baker come and stay at my house for a couple days to speak at a wild game dinner my church has.
Hi there-Hap

Welcome to the gang Bradley. I'm also rather new here, and probably the only guy from the Netherlands.

Welcome PA, great bunch here. Look up info on Denton Hill PA shoot in July. It's one of the best trad shoots you'll find. I used to deer hunt a whole bunch in your backyard! Reddinger Mines in Putney Hill, we stayed in Kittaning every year.
Putney Hill, that's not far at all. Already been to Denton hill a few times, couldn't make it every year. Gonna try again this year. The first was about 6 years back. Bought a Bob Lee Hunter takedown to see if I'd like this traditional stuff. Got hooked, the next year I ordered my Schafer Silvertip and yesterday I got my Sheepeater Spirit. Can one have TOO many bows? :) They all hold special memories so I can't bring myself to depart with any.
WELCOME To The TradGang Family!! :wavey: As Well as Congrats on Your New Bow!!

Hey Brad nice to meet ya. From one Sheepeater owner to another I can tell you they are a dream in a blind. I was Turkey hunting yesterday with Brent (the Brent that built your Bow) and we experienced some of that Jake excitement firsthand. Sadly no hero pics but we had a blast with our Sheepeaters just the same. Good luck this year and have fun. Randy.
